Unfortunately, the lid does not close well at all, it is crooked and pops off, so it is only good for bowls and not for food containers and transportation. The same applies to the larger one from the same company that I bought. One positive and convenient feature - in case someone wants it for a bowl - is its base that helps prevent slipping on surfaces.
