I also have an issue with the device frequently showing offline (properly connected to 2.4GHz). I have this issue with the Deco X50 mesh wifi. It is almost next to it, so I have full signal, but I have this phenomenon, I don't know why... unplugging it fixes it, but after some time it does it again. I saw another review with a similar issue. I temporarily solved it by connecting a Tapo plug and programming it to turn on and off four times a day to avoid any issues. Three stars because of this experience. Otherwise, it connected immediately and functions fine.

In a simple setup of a local WiFi network, it may work seamlessly. In my setup with T{LINK mesh WiFi and multiple Deco M5 access points, they sometimes connect and sometimes appear offline, even though I created a separate WiFi network exclusively on the 2.4GHz band as instructed to connect them. I purchased 2 identical devices that are installed in the same area, one for an external door and one for a garage door. I should note that although I ordered 2 identical devices that came in identical packaging, they are shown with different options on Tuya and have different versions, and none of them have any firmware updates available on Tuya. However, when they are connected, they function properly, as does the open/closed indication when you also install the sensor-magnet. In terms of their price, they are a decent choice, as long as the buyer does not have any connectivity issues.

I installed it on a sliding garage gate/fence gate and it works perfectly with the Tuya Smart app. To connect initially, it only requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (so temporarily disable the 5 GHz Wi-Fi on your router if available) and after the connection, re-enable the 5 GHz Wi-Fi for your other devices. The initial setup is done with your mobile phone (Tuya app), this device, and your wireless router, all in close proximity to each other, and after completion, the installation will take place in the final installation area, read the instructions. It does not include a USB-type power supply but has the cable (provide power from an old mobile phone charger you don't need with a USB output of 5 Volt, 2 Ampere, and it works). It is very small in size, and I managed to fit the entire device along with the cables and the charger/power supply inside the waterproof box of the garage door motor (Proteco Meko 5) outside in the garden. The Tuya app also correctly shows whether the door is closed or open (as long as you make the correct placement of the sensor and magnetic contact, both waterproof, which are included in the Andowl Q-CK400 package) while simultaneously sending you notifications when it opens or closes and records when it opened or closed wherever you are.
I also control it via Google Home (Android) and vocally with Google Assistant.
The sensor does not need a longer cable than the one in its package (as some write), anyway it is supported on a stable point of the door close to the motor's board, e.g., base, column, etc., while the magnetic contact (which has no cable) is supported on the opening/sliding door and moves freely over a large distance.
In general, remember that for this device to work with your home's Wi-Fi, the distance where it will be placed, e.g., near the door motor, must be within the range of the Router or Mesh you have, testing first in that spot if the Wi-Fi signal received by your mobile is satisfactory.
I have placed it 40 meters away from the house via Mercusys Halo H50G Mesh Wi-Fi Router and it works perfectly.
Smart Gate control. Incredible ease and capability.
From my mobile and the Tuya app, I have closed a forgotten open fence gate in the countryside (which I can see through the camera), from... abroad!!!

I don't know if it's the fault of this specific application (tuya) but the smart life showed you if it received the command or not. Many times the garage door is open and it shows me that it's closed and vice versa.
