Description

There is something about these two words when you see them written together. When you see them side by side. They give you courage, strength. Or they cause you embarrassment, doubt, reservations. 100 women write about the reality they experience in today's Greece and starting with the phrase "I am dangerous" each one shares her truth.

100 women of different ages, professions, families, values, roots, choices, dared to share their story with honesty and freedom. They appropriated the label that has been used over the centuries to define women who dared to be different and created a unique mosaic of stories that shock, move, awaken, cause shivers of identification and spontaneous cries of disagreement, but above all uncover the realities that we often ignore and question when they do not resemble our own.

Because we need stories. Those stories that will illuminate what it means to be a woman in today's Greece. Stories that will highlight the concerns, the defeats, the small and big triumphs, the daily disappointments and compromises. That will inspire, challenge, and ultimately awaken, in a country where so many women excel daily despite the adversities.

The royalties from the sale of the book will be allocated to support organizations that assist women who have suffered gender-based violence. An idea and initiative of Women Act in collaboration with athiNEA, with the support of Women on Top.

Interesting collection of personal stories of women. The connection between the readers and the authors of the texts (100 different short stories) is easy given that they describe conditions and realities of Greece - so it is not in an unknown context - and from the fact that they are contemporary to us. The stories primarily aim to convey a message of positive self-identification to those who read them, without falling into the error of superficial positive psychology, but also without messages of aggression and exclusion towards the opposite sex.

Very useful for both women and men regarding the issue of equality.
