Description

The countertop burner EH-0520IC by Electra features a single burner and a power of 2000 Watts. It is an induction type, meaning only the bottom of the cookware heats up and not the entire burner, resulting in the surrounding area remaining cool to the touch.

It uses less energy compared to other types of burners and the cooking time is cut in half. For example, water boils in less than 90 seconds.

Cleaning it is very easy, as the area around the cookware remains cool, so anything that spills does not heat up and stick to the surface. A necessary condition for this type of burner is that the cookware must be compatible with induction burners, meaning made of stainless steel or cast iron, as not all types of cookware can be used. Finally, if you have small children, it is considered the safest choice.

The control for selecting the desired temperatures and settings is done digitally and via touch. All options are integrated into the surface, so all you need to start cooking is a few gentle touches with your finger.

It is ideal for vacation homes, rental rooms, and camping.

    Update 7/11/23:
When purchased 10 months ago, it was the only product in its category with an extremely low price of €19.90 and due to its capabilities, it was literally unmatched - a unique solution (read the original review below). Currently, there is a competing product priced at €17.27 which also has a timer!.. It is the best seller on the company's Esperanza model EKH011 on Skroutz, but it cannot easily be converted into an ultra smart device. So, this remains a unique cheap DIY ultra smart solution.

    Original review 20/1/23:
Do not buy this product if you are not an electrician, electronics expert, or hacker. By paying an extra 5 to 10 €, you can buy another product with a timer. This device is ideal for the aforementioned category of people, not to become "smart," but "ultra smart." The fan makes noise and works very well for a long period of time after the operation is terminated. If you want, you can extend the fan's operating time by adding supercapacitors - extremely useful if the vessel is not immediately removed from the stove after the operation ends. If the noise bothers you, use a low noise - high airflow fan. The fan is powered by 18 volts, but this is a problem that you know how to solve. If you choose not to replace the fan, add the opening and closing of the lighting in the rooms you desire to the operation to be notified of the end of the routine. For the upgrade, you will need 2 Sonoff dry contact modules. €6 each. For the power source, use the power supply that you kept with the broken USB port, which was not worth repairing. Be careful with the terminals of the power cable that goes into the board. It is recommended to replace the terminal in order to incorporate a cable that goes to the power supply, which must have strong insulation or be at a safe distance from the induction plate during operation. In general, for easy repair/maintenance, it is recommended to install terminals/plugs wherever you desire. To immobilize the 5v power supply, use hot glue before and after the board on its cables, but not on the board itself. The modules can be joined with a little hot glue between each one's relay, just reverse and turn one of the two upside down. The above creates a single box without short circuits and easy access to the pairing button. This box can be fixed with a piece of plexiglass and 3mm screws, as shown in the photo. It is recommended to replace the thermal paste on the temperature sensor. Finally, in the scenes of eWeLink, create the following after you have 1) selected names for the 2 modules: power and function respectively. 2) selected the inching 0.5sec function for both modules.

    1) Tap to perform. 1) Activation type can be different.
    2) Power on (starts at 1300 hot pot, actual wattage 1,160).
    3) Delay 3sec (necessary for proper operation).
    4) Function on (goes to 2000 stir fry, actual wattage 1,430).
?) Optional: delay 3sec + range hood opening.
    5) Delay - 5 to 10 minutes (until the water boils).
6a) Function on (goes to 1600 soup, actual wattage 1,420).
6b) Delay 3sec (necessary for proper operation).
7a) Function on (goes to 1600 steam, actual wattage 1,400).
7b) Delay 3sec (necessary for proper operation).
8a) Function on (goes to 1,000 boiling, actual wattage 1,030).
8b) Delay 3sec (necessary for proper operation).
    9) Function on (goes to 80 milk, around 3 seconds on and 6 seconds off at 860 watts for 3 seconds).
    10) Delay (for as long as the food needs to be prepared).
    11) Power on (device shuts down, fan continues).
    Optional additional functions:
    12) Delay 3sec (necessary for proper operation).
    13) Range hood closing and/or opening - lighting-music or other device control in desired rooms, with or without repetition (additional equipment required).
