I've had it for about a month. Absolutely satisfied so far!! No problems!
I only make freddo espresso so I can't evaluate the steam wand.
The coffee I make seems extremely competitive with most out there. Very good crema.
The pressure I apply when tamping is about 10-15 kilos.
You try this 1-2 times on a scale and you learn it.
For freddo, I obviously use the large portafilter and put in 2 doses. (I remove the excess with my finger from the top to make it exactly 2 doses).
So far, I've used 2 Lavazza. (Crema E Gusto Classico and Qualita Rossa) I liked both.
Average for its price. You have to go for a compact portable one. It took me many cups of coffee to adjust the sink to an acceptable level.
It has a permanent water leak on the countertop.
From what I hear, Dedica owners have similar issues, so they are probably overrated as well
It may be one of the best value for money home coffee machines. It doesn't produce frothy milk, but I'm not really interested in that because I don't drink cappuccinos. It makes good foam and the coffee is at a very good level, especially if you use beans and not pre-ground. As others have mentioned, it does make noise, but because I have had other coffee machines that were also 15 bars, I can't say that the noise is too loud. There are other machines that do sound like steam engines. Finally, for the 165€ that I bought it for, I can say that it is a very good coffee machine for home use
I have had it for quite some time, I bought it shortly after it came out. I can say that I am very satisfied, it makes very good coffee!!! For me, who wanted to have regular coffee and not capsules, it is the best purchase I have made! Daily use, easy cleaning, good froth for those who want cappuccino. I definitely recommend buying a shaker for making freddo espresso.. enjoy!
Being very satisfied with a previous Krups purchase that was worth the money (€150 in 2004) and lasted for many years, I decided to trust the same brand again, as well as the comments of those who own it. It cost me €156 including shipping from a store in Poland and I expected it to arrive in about 15 days. I like its construction and that it is semi-automatic. It makes good coffee, a very nice froth, but I haven't tried the nozzle yet. Overall, I believe I made a good purchase.
Flawless coffee maker, makes excellent coffee comparable to what we get in cafes, maybe even better, and very good frothed milk using full-fat milk. Takes up very little space, is easy to use, and heats up quickly.
I have only had it for 2 weeks, but I am very satisfied. I particularly liked the ability to adjust the amount of coffee for single and double shots. The coffee is very good, with excellent froth.
I only use it for espresso with Lavazza capsules, and I am completely satisfied with the quality, crema, and ease of use. I would give it 5 stars if I wasn't a bit cautious about the build quality. However, I have only had it for a month, so time will tell...
I bought it for 141€ and I believe that at this price it is the best espresso machine currently available. It is automatic, heats up in 10 seconds when you press the button, easy to clean, sturdy construction, and takes up very little space! This was important for me because I live in a small house and I wanted a machine that wouldn't take up the entire counter, but still be of good quality. Very reliable coffee maker!
I don't use the milk frother because I usually drink espresso, but I tried it and it works great.
Initially, you need to pay attention to the amount of coffee you put in the filter. After experimenting, for the double filter, it requires exactly 2 scoops of coffee (measured with the dosimeter provided with this coffee maker), ground and with medium pressure. Be careful NOT to press it to the point where the coffee cannot be extracted! Also, if you use less coffee, the result will be more watery. So, especially for espresso, be careful with that. However, it is very positive that you don't need to calculate how much water to let through in order to turn off the switch in the morning. Personally, because I had a capsule espresso machine, I was used to the convenience of the button, and for me, this was a deal breaker... So, this specific machine solved my problem! The coffee is much more economical per month, and it doesn't require any special skills to make it. If you have cleaned the filter beforehand, it takes me a total of 3-4 minutes in the morning to make my coffee, without rushing! Very satisfied!
So far, I have tried Illy and Lavazza coffee from the supermarket, and I liked Illy better, but I will try other varieties and I will come back. Of course, coffee is a matter of personal taste.
This coffee maker also has a third filter for ready-made coffee bags, look for it in case you are lazy, it is also a solution although not cost-effective. I haven't tried it yet, I just mention it.
*I'm coming back after 2 months of experimentation, the best long-term solution is to get a grinder to grind the coffee beans at home, personally, I have a cheap one around 50€, it is very economical for me because I buy 1kg packages of coffee beans and I drink quality coffee at home!! The difference in quality from the ground coffee we buy from the supermarket is huge, I recommend it because I really feel like I'm drinking better coffee than I would outside!! And the machine works perfectly fine. As for the milk frother, after experimenting, my experience is not very good, even with a milk frother and using milk specifically for frothing, I still can't achieve it! I don't know what the problem is, maybe I will come back again...
*I'm coming back after 6 months of continuous daily use. I haven't encountered any problems. I achieve frothed milk with a handheld frother that costs 2€ and works with batteries. I heat the milk with the nozzle and then froth it a little and it becomes perfect. This is for the enthusiasts.
Best coffee so far: Mauro blended 70/30 and New York, the one with 5% blue mountain, espresso lovers know!!
The coffee maker was liked so much by my family that my father bought the same one!!
In general, I have been satisfied with this specific coffee maker. It is a good coffee maker for its cost. The coffee comes out very good when the variety of coffee is good. The only thing I have noticed is that after I make frothed milk, I have to close it and open it again to make coffee. Otherwise, it shows red indicators that something is wrong.
I upgraded to this from another well-known budget coffee maker. There is a big difference in the taste of the coffee, of course with the same blends! Sturdy, high-quality construction. Slim, takes significantly less space than the previous one. From moderate to quiet noise, it sounds like a small Nespresso coffee maker. The coffee holder is very high quality, heavy, and it impressed me tremendously compared to the old one, which simply had a small hole like a pin's tip for the filtered coffee to pass through! The automatic function is a great convenience, you press the button and the coffee is ready!
