For the money, quite impressive. In no way is it a heavy-duty mandoline. The negatives for my tastes are that the thickness of the cut does not have a continuous selection method, but rather 3 thickness levels. For someone who wants uniform cuts in vegetables like potatoes, cucumber, zucchini, cabbage, etc., or fruits like apple, pear, etc., with firm flesh, it is a significant upgrade from simple cuts with a knife (in terms of uniformity and consistency). It is preferably washed only with water and a damp microfiber cloth. All vegetables and fruits are water-soluble, therefore soap is not needed.
