Description

Installation

It is central and can be used either as the main option for heating the water in your home, or as a supplementary. It can provide hot water throughout the house for your daily needs, as long as there are suitable pipes for the distribution of hot water. This may potentially result in heat and energy losses due to the distance.

Temperature Control

The adjustment of the water outlet temperature is proportional and depends on the water flow rate, according to the selected power.

Features:

  • Suitable for simple (general safety 40 A) or reinforced single-phase current when the general safety is at 50A or 63A.
  • Connects in parallel (not in series) with other hot water sources, e.g., solar or boiler.
  • More economical in power consumption by 30 to 40% compared to non-electronic instant water heaters and 60 to 70% compared to classic water heaters.
  • The device can operate by automatically reducing its power, measuring the inlet-outlet temperature in relation to the water flow.
  • The operating power and consumption are controlled by the electronic brain according to the temperature and flow of the incoming water, to select exactly the desired temperature and maintain it steadily.
  • Single or multiple use, e.g., bath, shower, sink, washbasin.
  • Flow switch – activates the device only when there is water flow.
  • Safety thermostat – protection against overheating.
  • Outlet temperature sensor: The same applies to the outlet.

What is an instant water heater?

The instant water heater is a type of water heater that heats water in real-time. It only heats the water that passes through it at that moment. In other words, there is no hot water storage tank. This has many advantages, such as energy savings, since only the water being used is heated, and longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and no accumulation of salts on the resistance and other components.

It operates with electricity and is single-phase.

How It Works

The instant water heater has a cold water inlet pipe, which passes through the heating element, gets heated, and exits through the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is the pressure of the incoming cold water should not be too low.

The water temperature is regulated by a thermostat so that it does not exceed a maximum value. The temperatures that the hot water reaches are pre-set so that one can use the hot water directly, without the need for mixing with cold water.

The maximum temperature it can reach for hot water production is 60 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 6.3 liters per minute. Indicatively, 38-42 °C degrees are standard for shower use.

Advantages of instant water heaters compared to traditional electric water heaters

  • It is small in size and does not take up much space.
  • There are no energy losses, as only the water being used at that moment is heated. Therefore, we save on the electricity bill. In a traditional water heater, the hot water that is not used goes to waste.
  • The hot water used in the instant water heater is used as is, without mixing with cold, as happens in a traditional water heater. Thus, we also save water, in addition to electricity.
  • There is no need to wait for the water to heat up. As soon as we turn on the tap, hot water flows in a few seconds. The traditional water heater takes a few minutes, depending on its size.
  • The hot water never runs out. As long as we have the tap open, we will have hot water.
