Connect the notebook with a USB-C cable
This Philips monitor features a USB type-C port with power delivery. Thanks to smart and flexible power management, you can directly charge your compatible device. The slim, two-sided USB-C plug allows for easy connection with a single cable. You can watch high-resolution videos and transfer data at high speeds while simultaneously powering and recharging your compatible device.
Crystal-clear images with Quad HD 2560 x 1440 pixels
These Philips monitors offer crystal-clear Quad HD 2560x1440 or 2560x1080 pixel images. Thanks to the use of high-performance screens with a multitude of high-density pixels and the capability of high-bandwidth sources such as USB-C, DisplayPort, and HDMI, these new monitors bring your images and graphics to life. Whether you want to display highly detailed professional-level information for CAD-CAM solutions, use 3D graphic applications, or perform financial tasks on massive spreadsheets, Philips monitors provide you with crystal-clear images.
IPS Technology for Full Colors and Wide Viewing Angle
IPS monitors use advanced technology that offers you extremely wide viewing angles, at 178/178 degrees, so you can view the screen from almost any point in the room - even from a 90-degree angle! Unlike standard TN screens, IPS monitors provide you with exceptionally sharp images with vibrant colors. Thus, they are ideal not only for photos, videos, and web browsing, but also for professional applications that require color accuracy and uniform brightness at all times.
The Smart Ergo base offers user-friendly ergonomic adjustments
The Smart Ergo base makes the use of the monitor comfortable and provides a cable management system. The base can rotate and tilt at various angles ensuring maximum comfort. The height-adjustable base ensures the optimal viewing level, reducing physical strain during a busy workday. Cable management reduces cable clutter and keeps your workspace clean and professional.
Less eye strain with Flicker-Free technology
Due to the way brightness is controlled on LED-backlit screens, some users notice a flicker on the screen, which can cause eye strain. Philips Flicker-Free technology applies a new solution for brightness regulation, reducing flicker and providing a more comfortable viewing experience.
Eye-friendly LowBlue Mode
According to studies, just like ultraviolet radiation, short-wavelength blue light emitted by LED screens can cause eye damage and affect vision over time. Developed with wellness in mind, Philips' LowBlue feature uses smart software technology to reduce harmful short-wavelength blue light.
PowerSensor reduces energy consumption by up to 80%
The PowerSensor is an integrated "people sensor" that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals to determine if the user is present. When the user steps away, the sensor automatically reduces the screen's brightness, cutting energy consumption costs by up to 80% and extending the screen's lifespan.
HDMI for universal digital connectivity
HDMI-ready devices have all the necessary hardware for high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) connectivity. HDMI cables allow the transmission of high-quality digital video and audio signals from computers or other audiovisual sources, such as decoders, DVD players, A/V receivers, and camcorders.

The sound is a joke.. nevertheless it exists (very very quiet without quality.. clear nonetheless). (I intentionally wrote "very very" and not by mistake : ). I connected a speaker directly to the screen with a "plug" and everything is good for YouTube, movies, games. Otherwise, I bought the cheapest branded, big-sized, QLED and it's worth the 250 euros I paid for basic quality use.
Purchased on Saturday, May 18, 2024 for €165 as a second monitor for live streaming on Twitch. I wanted to be able to see the chat without using my laptop as a second screen. I didn't expect much, but it pleasantly surprised me! Okay, it's flat and not curved, and it's not very convenient on the left side where I have it, but it doesn't lose colors and there is no ghosting. I haven't tried playing any games on it as the main monitor, but I have some L2 windows open and the colors look great with no ghosting or any other negatives. I've been looking for an affordable second monitor that isn't 60hz, and this one seems to be perfect!
One positive aspect is the USB C, which I connected to my MacBook Air M3 and it charges and displays the image on the screen! It includes a DP/HDMI cable, as well as a Type C cable that connects to the screen as Type C, but the other end has an adapter that converts it from Type C to Type A.
To conclude, I'm not sure if I could recommend it as a primary and main monitor since it wasn't purchased for that purpose. If I were looking for a main monitor, I would definitely consider one with 144hz or higher.
Edit 10/6/2024: My screen developed 3 dead pixels at the end of the two weeks that I've had it, so it doesn't qualify for DOA (Dead on Arrival). I contacted Philips support and they informed me that their policy only covers more than 5 dead pixels... so, stay away from Philips, guys. This will be my first and truly last purchase from this brand.
I have connected it to an RTX 2060 along with a Philips 272S for work mainly but also for gaming occasionally. The monitor has a sturdy stand that can be adjusted both in height and vertically for reading PDFs, for example. The purchase was made at €221 and it is definitely worth the money as it not only comes with the cables for connecting to the graphics card (HDMI & DisplayPort), but also has a USB-C for all communication to be done through it.
Of course, it also has speakers like the 272S with good sound if there is no possibility to connect separate speakers due to space constraints on the desk.
