24p
Most movies are filmed at 24 frames per second (fps). To maintain the purity of the original image, Optoma projectors can accept high-definition sources at 24 fps to display movies exactly as the director intended.
There may be instances where the projector remains on when not in use. To help save energy, the "auto power off" feature automatically turns off the projector after a set period of time if it is not being used.
Quick resume
This feature allows the projector to be immediately restarted if it is accidentally turned off.

For amateur use, it seems excellent. Good image even during the day. I'm concerned that it gets quite warm and I don't know how normal that is.
Very happy with the purchase, definitely problematic that it only has one HDMI port, but otherwise with the correct settings it produces an image that will satisfy you and your friends.
The HD146X belongs to the introductory series of Optoma's Full HD DLP projectors. Its price makes it quite attractive, at €535 for a branded Full HD projector with sufficient brightness, low input lag, and a long-lasting lamp. However, it sounds too good to be true. Its downsides include only one HDMI input for audio/video, the absence of lens shift, a very small lens zoom, and a noisy fan (only quiet when the lamp is in eco mode). The image quality is quite satisfactory, with a "green veil" spreading across most factory image profiles. However, after ISF Calibration, the veil disappears, and the image comes much closer to faithful reproduction of Rec.709 standard material (1080p Blu-ray discs), with all colors appearing very well, except for green, which struggles to reach high levels of saturation. The built-in speaker... consider it non-existent. It doesn't achieve high volume levels, nor does it have good sound quality. If you have a set of €20 computer speakers, you already have much better speakers, so connect them!
If you want to get the best possible image quality from the HD146X or any other projector or television, seek out a specialized ISF Calibrator and perform calibration. The improvement is significant, both in terms of image quality and the lifespan of the device, as well as reducing eye strain.
The best factory image profile is the Reference. Change the lamp to Eco mode and set Brilliant Colors to 5 to achieve the best possible image adjustment by yourself, rather than relying on an expert with the appropriate equipment and knowledge.
For its price, it is very good and performs similarly to more expensive models from various manufacturers.
