Installation: Press WPS on the router, press the button on the extender. Finally, same password on the network with '_EXT'. Supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
Speed: I reach 80mb/s next to the router (on the 5GHz router network) with my mobile phone. At a distance of 10 meters and 4 walls, I reach 40mb/s (on the 5GHz router network), with the extender I reach 70mb/s.
I will come back if I notice any interruptions.
Edit: It has interruptions / loses connection with the router or the device (mobile, PC, etc). It went from perfect to mediocre. You need to plug and unplug it from the socket almost every day because otherwise it won't connect.
Edit2: The extender constantly sends a request for an IP to the router. It made the router crash due to memory. I configured it to have a static IP and now it works perfectly. This doesn't make it a good product since few people know how to fix such things.
I can say that it worked well for me for six months, then gradually it started to lose connection with the router once every 1-2 days, and now after a year it needs to be restarted 1-2 times a day, so it has become unusable.
Just... okay. Don't expect much. It works very well at 10-15 meters and about 20 meters without another wall in between it doesn't work at all. As is known, you get what you pay for. I bought another one at 7 times the price of this one and it does the job. In short, in a small house, you will get the job done with this.
Good evening and happy new month to everyone!!! I bought it about 6 months ago and it was working very well!!! For the past 2 days, it has been flashing green and then turning red!!! I have done everything but it continues to stay red!!! Has this happened to anyone else??? If someone knows, please help me!!! Thank you!!!
Indeed, as everyone has said. Incredible signal boost. I go to the floor below and the wifi still gets full signal. Maybe I should be worried that it's spying on us!!?? It seems very powerful.
Having it for a little while, I have no complaints, it goes faster than my router which doesn't have such good wifi. At a relatively large distance from the router through a wall, it works just fine. It is not used for gaming, for example, so I don't know how much latency or interruptions it has, but I haven't seen anything in live streaming at least on the TV. Good app and easy installation, I also have an extra router in another room from the same company and it hasn't disappointed me. For the money I paid for it, 13 euros, it is better and cheaper than a well-known brand I had before, and now at 18 I would buy it again
Easy connection with the Router! Very good range.. very strong signal, essentially there is no difference in signal strength in a room of the house where there was a problem before using the extender! Vfm product!
It is very low in speed, almost half of the laptop (maybe it needs some special adjustment) but on the mobile it gives a lot of power! However, I bought it for the laptop which is in a remote area from Rupert and I am not satisfied! Rather disappointed! If something is adjusted and it improves its performance, I will return with a new review!
Easy installation and quick. Small disconnections that are not noticeable. I solved the problem in a maisonette with the router on the ground floor and with zero signal upstairs and with many walls in between.
Very good. I had a significant problem with the wifi in a remote room and with objects in between, and it has fully restored it.
For the money, it's okay. It has some incompatibilities during activation, it's relatively easy to connect but it offers just enough. It doesn't perform miracles. It has some disconnections every now and then, but if you unplug it and plug it back in, it works again. I expected this when I bought it based on some of the reviews, so I wasn't disappointed.
Excellent product, I have a problem in the two bedrooms with the wireless and this solved my issues. If you see that at the 2.4 GHz frequency it doesn't reach full speed, it's not the extender's fault; there are other factors. I specifically got it for the middle rooms where I have a serious problem with the Wi-Fi (probably due to walls). I also tried others like TP-Link and they didn't do a good job. At 5 GHz, which I need for the PS Portal specifically because it kept disconnecting before, this one is flawless without disconnections and freezes, and it gets 90 out of 100 MB, which is my line speed, and fully connects; before it was 1-2 bars out of 4. I highly recommend it for anyone who has a problem. Don't forget for someone who doesn't know that they shouldn't connect in the area where the signal is weak; they should be somewhere outside the area to catch the strong signal and transmit it to the areas where the signal is weak.
For the price (~€17) excellent. Easy setup & app. Range small to medium I would say although it mainly depends on obstacles and varies depending on your space, however it has covered the deadspot I wanted just fine. On the plus side the ethernet port with dual functionality, either to make it an AP or to connect a device when it operates as an extender.
I have purchased 6-7 over time, one broke down after about a year, another one occasionally might lose the signal and I had to unplug it and plug it back in, all the others have never shown any problems. The signal they emit is strong. For their price, they are very good.
Out of the box, it works well for basic things (browsing, streaming, etc.). However, I had a serious problem working with the corporate VPN, which is quite demanding and tricky; the connection from the repeater has small interruptions and seems to struggle for a bit to resolve the IP, resulting in the VPN dropping. The solution is relatively simple (so I applied it to other devices in the house to have peace of mind):
1. Set the extender to use a static IP (as clarified by @billy.trembelas), and disable the DHCP Server of the extender.
2. I configured the corporate laptop to use a static IP (the static IP on the laptop made the biggest difference in my case).
It's a shame such a silly bug ruins a VFM product; hopefully, it will be fixed in a future firmware upgrade.
I bought it without searching, the only criterion was the comments and its low price. I connected it to the upper house from where the router is. I placed it in the same position (right above the router). Now the whole upper house has a signal and it seems not to lose performance. (I have had it for just a few hours)
Usage from the 1st to the 2nd floor, where my mobile and laptop were barely connecting in certain "dead" corners, now work as if I am next to the router. The installation is super easy; you download the app by scanning the barcode on the installation instructions sheet and follow the steps. A purchase with closed eyes if your needs are similar.
It connects from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor and I have a range of 200 sqm, it covers the whole house with at least 80 Mbps on a 100 Mbps line without even having fiber optic! It doesn't work on the balcony! Easy installation with an app!! I highly recommend it!!
Others have said it too. Very good, it is and does what it says. Easy connection (one button). I would say it is like a mesh (it's not - don't get me wrong) as it emits the same Wifi name with the same password without needing to enter new codes for the new network it creates. That is, devices that are connected to the router directly without a password connect to the new network. I have not noticed any disconnections.
Perfect, the previous users have said it all. I have already recommended it and those who have purchased it are extremely satisfied.
I own both the TP-Link 305 and the ME30. The Mercusys is significantly better and for half the price. I will buy another one and sell the TP-Link 305
Amazing, it solved the problems I had with my M1 and M2 Macs and the constant interruptions. I use it as an Access Point and not as an extender
Excellent!!! I had an old one that hadn't broken, but I replaced it to have 5Ghz as well. Generally, it is much better in terms of signal. Finally, I have signal and fast speeds throughout the house
It requires a little more effort to set up initially, but otherwise, it is very good. Although I use it as an access point, and I didn't get too involved, I couldn't connect it as a repeater. I have a great signal everywhere. I got one for testing, and after seeing that it works well, I got another one due to difficult spaces.
Pleasant surprise this product compared to its competition (tp link) Very easy installation without problems, very good application, excellent performance for the money it asks. Get it with closed eyes
Everything is fine, I won't take off a star! I wanted it to connect with a cable to the PS5 so it wouldn't lag in online games since my router is far away. Anyone who wants it for the same purpose should know that they will NOT achieve anything... It's exactly the same as WiFi
Amazing! I use it on the ground floor to get internet from the 1st floor. The speed I get is 97-98 Mbps. The best for the money!
200 meters the inalan line on the ground floor in wifi and ethernet (the router is there). With the old xiaomi wifi repeater connected on the 2nd floor, it synced max at 17 to 18... Today I installed this specific one from mercusys, after the reviews I had read. Super easy installation via the app (tip: turn off mobile data beforehand as well as the automatic reconnection to your router's wifi or access point) and the signal now on the upper floor reached 5G at 100 comfortably and at 2.4 it almost hits 75... Finally! I believe it's the best if you don't want to go for mesh solutions etc. It's also excellent that you can turn off the device's led or set the hours you want it to light up through the mercusys app.
We had a problem because the neighbors had a strong signal and the router was weak. The signal often dropped when it had to pass through the narrow hallway. We installed it in the main hallway and it works like a charm
I have read the comments and that's why I decided to buy it, but I am not satisfied at all.
Easy connection via app! Excellent job with signal transmission. Placed on the 2nd floor and it picks up the signal from the 1st (router) in front and transmits it everywhere easily and strongly!
