Well.....I received it yesterday, so this is a relatively rushed review. Reading the specs, you're not impressed and the reviews of the American version are disappointing. So, after ordering it, I thought we made a mistake and it will be the weak link for the M1 Mac Mini. The logic behind the purchase was that the monitor's main use is for work from home, excel, word, Citrix Remote, a little bit of photography, a lot of YouTube, browsing, and no gaming since that is done on the TV and Xbox One X. Upon receiving it, the first relief came as the screen is made in China and not Made in Mexico like the American ones (obviously the panel is different). I should mention here that the choice was also made based on the features, which are incredible, and the choice of USB-C type connection from Thunderbolt to use the monitor's USB hub for some silly peripherals of the Mac Mini, like the webcam, for example, or a screen bar, etc. I was also attracted by the access to the Samsung app store through Tizen 5.5, especially the Cosmote app, Netflix, Ertflix, tune-in, Spotify, etc.
The impressions so far are very good.
First, the Mac Mini works with a simple USB 3.2 type C, Generation II cable in full 4k, 60hz, HDR, and with a USB hub.
Second, the image is quite good and not as bad as I thought, with amazing customization and features.
Third, I couldn't resist and completed the setup by connecting the Xbox One on it, and the experience was elevated to gaming mode with the Ultra wide mode that both the monitor and the Xbox have.
Fourth, the remote is amazing if it didn't also turn on/off the TV....but we managed somehow and it seems to work after reprogramming both remotes.
Overall, it is a clearly recommended product that seems to have a lot of value for money if you don't expect a monitor with 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rates.
I will tell you it's a very good purchase if it has been at least a month of continuous and trouble-free operation.
UPDATE: Almost 2 weeks later, everything remains excellent and I appreciate the monitor more and more!
1. Bixbie is a crazy feature, excellent in controlling the monitor and even telling you (and showing you the weather) or any other recipe or anything else (e.g. an alarm). Much better than Siri, almost as good as Alexa, and slightly below Google Assistant!
2. Perfect airplay, very fast and works instantly!
3. Very good speakers (obviously not for gaming) of TV quality in terms of sound quality and volume.
4. The Tizen apps are very good, like Cosmote TV, Netflix, Tune In, Spotify, etc., which give you the comfort of watching TV (if you are a subscriber) without having to turn on the computer and end up not watching TV because you will be absorbed by other things.
5. I tried accessing Office 365 out of curiosity and it works....! Good feature, practically useless.
6. The remote access saved me because this way I can solve computer problems remotely for grandparents and children....just by turning on the monitor!
7. The quality of materials and the overall image are very premium from the front (mainly due to the literally non-existent bezels). Disappointing image from the back, which looks like a TV from the beginning of the previous decade.
Overall, I would buy it again, a monitor that, without being top-notch in anything, excels in everything, at a very good price and with the cherry on top of all the features, and the VERY USEFUL remote control.
