The board game Lost Ruins of Arnak combines worker placement, exploration, and deck-building mechanisms.
New opportunities open up as you explore this island, beyond the traditional elements of these classic mechanisms.
Choose your actions carefully, as you are allowed only one action per turn.
Which action will benefit you the most right now? And what can you do later... assuming someone else doesn't take the action first? Explore the ruins of Arnak!

Generally, I play board games of all kinds, but this particular one never sat well with me or my friends. It is a fairly well-made construction with pleasant artwork and beautiful tokens. In terms of gameplay, it is very bad for nothing. We played it three times and I exchanged it on the marketplace. Perhaps I didn't give it enough time to win me over, but usually if a game doesn't click with me from the beginning, it's doomed. The rules are a hassle and there is minimal fun in playing it
At least one of the 2 expansions is needed to show how much it's worth:
-Expedition Leaders if you mainly play competitively
-Missing Expedition if you're interested in the cooperative campaign it offers for one or two players (the 6 scenarios are very nice and different)
There is also a free solo campaign online that doesn't require only the base game to be played
Very unique game. It combines deck building, source management, and work placement mechanisms, but in a completely adventurous environment inspired by the adventures of Indiana Jones. So it differs greatly from similar games with the same mechanisms but with the classic themes of the industrial revolution or trade in antiquity, etc. It allows for the development of several strategies, has twists, and does not involve the destruction of the opponent beyond some normal blockades. The design is amazing, as is the construction quality. The expansion with the expedition leaders takes it to another level as it adds the characteristic of the leaders' special powers, an element that adjusts the player's strategy to these characteristics. I highly recommend it.
Very nice, relatively tight because you only have 2 workers, but this pushes you to build your deck.
Very beautiful art, very beautiful production and I definitely recommend the expansion with the asymmetrical leaders and maybe some insert for chaos
It's worth it, one of the most beautiful board games and at the same time very good to play with your friends, your family.
