  It is probably worse than the 5, so it is probably the worst RE.
  Only worth it if you want to play co-op or see the story for 5-6€.
  Relatively uninteresting and repetitive.
  Nice graphics, but it breaks into many stories, so it loses coherence and feels more like many smaller games. They aimed for Rashomon, but it didn't work out for them.

  The best Resident Evil compared to the previous old-fashioned and user-unfriendly ones, despite the rave reviews from those who played them 15 years ago, they don't hold up in 2021.   I consider it one of the most underrated games of the previous generation. For me, it is my favorite in the series and I have played them all. In terms of gameplay and graphics for its time, it was very advanced, fast-paced with many combo hits, perfect moves, and much better shooting. It also has 4 different campaigns, each with a different storyline, and the best part is that everything coincides with each other, which is incredible. I should also mention that it includes almost all the main characters of the series: ADA, LEON, HELENA, CHRIS, SHERRY, and 2 new very good and unique characters, Piers and Jake. And if you play it co-op with a friend, you will like it even more because it is one of the best co-op campaign games out there. The cooperation needed to progress in the game is indescribable, not to mention how long the game is, at least 20 hours for all the campaigns combined. I believe it didn't appeal to many because the series changed and became more action-oriented than it used to be. Specifically, this change in the series began with Resident Evil 4.

  POSITIVES: The first part of the 5 parts of Leon's chapter strongly resembles Resi 2.

  Ada's chapter reminds me of the good old Resident Evil games and somewhat saves the ridiculously bad storyline of the game.

  It is one of the best games in the series, it has a lot of action that I like because you don't have to walk and shoot all the time, while here it has different action sequences that keep you hooked. Maybe Leon's episode is a bit horror, but the bosses are spectacular and the story has a dramatic aspect. Most of the time it feels like watching a movie, and it's great that it's so well-made. Also, the graphics on the PS4 have reached another level, it has amazing graphics and it shows as soon as you start playing the game. Those who say it's the worst of all probably stayed in the era when Resident Evil was just a game on a console without PS1 graphics. If there wasn't any action, it wouldn't be interesting, it would be completely boring to open doors and shoot zombies that just come at you. They simply don't know how to play, a gamer would really want this game

  First, let me address my confusion about the fact that this game has received many negative reviews on the internet. It is flawless, and those interested in the resident evil universe will be fully satisfied with the story. It is the most 'serious' version of the game that has been released, and I believe it stands out from the rest of the RE series for this reason. As the friend below very accurately mentioned, there are minimal horror elements and it is more action-based, but this has already started since RE 4.

  Overall, a very well-crafted game, improved in all areas compared to its predecessor, and will definitely be liked by everyone except perhaps the very old fans of the series who were accustomed to a completely different gameplay.

  In reality, it is a much-improved version of 5. Just like there, the game is mainly (if not exclusively) action, and it's hard to categorize it as horror (maybe only Leon's chapter, and even that is a stretch). Shooting, enemies with weapons, etc. Beyond that, the controls (finally!) have improved and are very flexible and easy, giving many options during combat. Graphics, sound, direction, everything is great.

  But the big advantage is the story...
  Here, there isn't just one story, but 4! And not just one character, but 7! (and potentially 8). The game allows you to play 4 different stories (one with Leon, one with Chris Redfield, one with Jake Wesker, and one with Ada Wong) which intertwine with each other. So, by completing the first episode, for example, with Leon, when you then play the next one with Chris, certain things that happened in Leon's episode become clearer. This happens constantly, until when the game is completely finished, the story is fully revealed.

  A big plus is that, just like in 5, you can also play co-op with a friend. So, in Leon's chapter, Hannah is with him as the second player, in Chris' chapter, Pierce is with him, in Jake's chapter, Sherry is with him. The last chapter with Ada is for single player, but the second player can take control of a soldier who participates normally (shoots, dies, etc.), but doesn't have a role in the story.

  It is evident, therefore, that the game is quite large and entertaining.

  The only negative aspect, which doesn't concern gameplay but the series in general, is the enemies. Some are rather exaggerated in size and overly pompous, designed without much imagination (e.g. the final boss in Leon's chapter undergoes so many consecutive and unnecessary transformations that the battle becomes somewhat comical).
