The managed switch by D-Link is primarily recommended for large professional networks. It offers the ability for the network admin to configure its parameters regarding:
It has 5 ethernet ports with a speed of 1Gbps.
Loopback Detection:
It is used to detect loops created by a specific port and automatically shuts it down. The Cable Diagnostics feature is designed for network administrators to quickly examine the quality of the cables, identify the cable type, and detect errors in a timely manner.
The D-Link Green technology allows the DGS-1100 Smart series to save energy without sacrificing performance. It uses a fanless design for quiet and energy-efficient operation.
It features advanced VLAN for additional security and management efficiency.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The product is D-Link and like all of its products, I expected it to be of excellent quality, BUT:
This particular model (or rather, the other managed switches from the company that I haven't tested) has a... quirk.
When you set its settings, every time it was unplugged from the power outlet or (in my case) experienced a power outage, it would lose its settings.
As you can imagine, losing its VLANs is extremely annoying and makes it almost useless, especially when it also loses the IP settings and you can't configure it remotely, having to connect a computer/laptop physically wherever the switch is. What good is a switch that does a factory reset every time it restarts?
It seems that the problem is that the "storage" of the settings doesn't happen. Meaning, you set the settings but it doesn't save them to its flash storage so that it can reopen with them. And because it continuously has the factory settings saved, this means it will go back there after every power reset.
The solution in the end is, after you finish with its settings and make any changes you want, to "export the configuration" to a file on your computer, and then "upload" it to the switch. This seems to accept it as the default configuration and after every reboot/power loss, it loads your settings.
After this method, the switch goes from useless to simply... quirky. Which is not a big disadvantage, I just deduct one star for this reason.
The product continues to be excellent, as seen in its boot, where it loads its software in seconds, since after you plug it in, you can access its management interface in 2-3 seconds and you don't have to wait for a huge boot sequence like some other switches I have from TP-LINK (there we're talking about 30+ seconds).
I recommend it for purchase to anyone who wants a managed switch, just with the caveat of the above notes I wrote on how to set it up. Then it will serve you well.

Update:
I would like to add the following after several months of use. I noticed that in case of a power outage and restoration, the switch opens again with the factory settings. I don't know why. It seems to have the "saved" settings that I make, because if I unplug it and plug it back into the power outlet manually, it loads them normally.
But in the case of a sudden voltage drop/power outage, and then when the power comes back and it opens on its own, it seems to get stuck again on the factory settings and doesn't "load" my VLANs (it assigns different IPs to connected devices that are not in the VLAN I have configured).
I declare myself very disappointed, but it is one of the cheapest managed switches on the market that, if the power doesn't go out, can get the job done. Now, if you combine it with a UPS? Maybe you'll find a solution.
