Artificial stone is a building material that replaces natural stone on surfaces, usually of external and internal walls. Artificial stones are produced with lightweight aggregates to have a lower weight compared to natural stones. The lower weight, reduced cost, and variety of products are significant advantages that have made the use of these materials popular.

Artificial stones have a thickness of about 2-4 cm and are manufactured in a wide variety of designs. Their general characteristics are usually replicated from nature and the produced natural stones. The designs may include:

Each design can be produced in one or more colors. The back side of the stones is particularly uneven to ensure the best possible adhesion with adhesives.
