  I use the shoe in the snow on the mountain and for hunting.. Very comfortable and durable over time and very good quality of construction. I have had it for 2 years.. I have not encountered any problems regarding the sole, it does not slip easily.. and generally no drop of water gets inside (very good waterproof quality.. As for the negatives, it does not have very good insulation in very low temperatures.. Even with thermal socks.. I do not recommend it for very low temperatures.. Its insulation is not good. I believe that with 15-20€ more you can get much better. But if you want them for milder weather conditions, then they are just fine.

  I have had this specific product for a year. I only use it for mountain hiking and in the snow. Although I didn't expect it from the first time I wore it, and even though it was tough, it was very comfortable on my foot. I went on a 3-hour hike and was afraid I would get blisters, but on the contrary, I didn't feel anything. Since then, I only wear them in the mountains and in cold weather. So they are comfortable, warm, but not suitable for heavy winter and very cold conditions. They are waterproof as they claim, suitable for rocky terrain as they keep the foot stable, and generally suitable for mountain use. The only thing you need to be careful about is that you need to get a size larger. I wear size 43 and I got size 44

  I had the previous model of this series and even after 7 years, they still haven't disappointed me. I decided to purchase the new model for purely renewal purposes. The shoes were exactly what I expected and they didn't disappoint me at all. Their weight is lighter than their predecessor, and the waterproofing is excellent as always, as well as the grip. For me, these shoes are a great investment for someone who hikes in difficult terrains. If someone wants them for simple hiking on easy trails or asphalt, there are much better options, like Adidas.

  Update 30/8/2023
  After 2 months of full use and testing in demanding terrain, I have noticed some things. The sole of the shoe showed its weakness on demanding routes with rocks. Probably for the sake of grip, the sole is soft, resulting in pieces being cut off and the sole detaching from the sides of the heel. I partially solved the problem with my neighborhood cobbler. But unfortunately, I have lost my trust in the shoe. It is unacceptable for Salomon to have such problems with the sole in just 2 months. They are not cheap shoes, so such a flaw is not expected. The other features such as stability, comfort, and waterproofing are great.

  4 stars because they are not suitable for rocky terrain. The sole is soft and flexible. They do not take crampons but micro spikes. In the snow, they are 100% waterproof without insulation, but with thick socks they are okay. Generally, they are shoes for hiking on and off-road, but not for mountaineering. Not for ice and climbing. For that, a semi-rigid boot is needed. Also not for trails with loose rocks and steep slopes.
