Description

Inverter Technology

Provides constant temperature and lower consumption than simple instant water heaters as it uses only the necessary power to heat the water to the desired temperature.

Compatible with solar or boiler systems

It can be installed in parallel with a solar heater or boiler as it only accepts cold water (not hot) and is connected as shown in the diagrams with a 3-way valve or 2 separate valves.

If the DBX Next will be the sole source of hot water, the following apply in every case:

  • More economical in power consumption by 30 to 40% compared to non-electronic instant water heaters and 60 to 70% compared to classic water heaters.

Operating Power

The operating power and consumption are controlled by the electronic brain according to the temperature and flow of the incoming water, to select exactly the desired temperature and maintain it stable.

The selected temperature ranges between 30 C and 60 C, adjusted internally with a fine screwdriver, by turning the potentiometer.

Factory default setting at 50 C.

Features

  • Flow switch – activates the device only when there is water flow.
  • Safety thermostat – protection from overheating
  • Inlet temperature sensor – monitors the temperature of the water entering the device
  • Outlet temperature sensor – monitors the temperature of the water exiting the device

Installation

It is central and can be used either as the main option for heating the water in your home, or as a supplementary. It can provide hot water throughout the house for your daily needs, as long as there are suitable pipes for the distribution of hot water. This may potentially result in heat and energy losses due to the distance.

What is an instant water heater?

The instant water heater is a type of water heater that heats water in real-time. It only heats the water that passes through it at that moment. There is no hot water storage tank. This has many advantages, such as energy savings, since only the water that is used is heated, and longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and no accumulation of salts on the resistance and other components.

It operates with electricity and is three-phase, meaning a three-phase power supply is required.

How It Works

The instant water heater has a cold water inlet pipe, which passes through the resistance, heats up, and exits through the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is the pressure of the incoming cold water should not be too low.

The water temperature is regulated by a thermostat, so it does not exceed a maximum value. The temperatures that the hot water reaches are preset so that one can use the hot water directly, without needing to mix it with cold water.

The maximum temperature it can reach for hot water production is 60 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 7 liters per minute. Indicatively, 38-42 °C degrees are standard for shower use.

Advantages of instant water heaters compared to traditional electric water heaters

  • It is small in size and does not take up much space.
  • There are no energy losses, as only the water being used at that moment is heated. Therefore, we save on the electricity bill. In a traditional water heater, the hot water that is not used goes to waste.
  • The hot water used in the instant water heater is used as is, without mixing with cold, as happens in a traditional water heater. Thus, we also save water, in addition to electricity.
  • There is no need to wait for the water to heat up. As soon as we turn on the tap, hot water flows in a few seconds. The traditional water heater takes a few minutes, depending on its size.
  • The hot water never runs out. As long as we have the tap open, we will have hot water.
