Since I started feeding my parakeet with this food, it has become thinner and looks healthier. Of course, it took a while for it to start eating this food. At first, I mixed it with its old food to get used to the new one. However, even though the packaging shows that this food is for parakeets, mine struggles to eat the whole pellets, so I have to break them into smaller pieces every time I fill its food. Additionally, because they are relatively hard, it is very common for some pieces to fly out of its mouth when it bites them, and after a while, the area around its cage is filled with crumbs and pieces of food.
