The Nostatic by Tonar features more than one million ultra-fine carbon fibers. The cross-section of these fibers is so small that they can easily penetrate all the corners and edges of the record grooves. Because the carbon fibers are electro-conductive, they remove all static and channel it to the ground through the metal handle and the person holding the brush. Subsequently, the dust loosens in the groove, allowing the next set of fibers to easily pick it up and remove it from the record.
It doesn't do its job properly and the worst part is that hairs from the brush remain on the vinyl. They are visible when you tilt the vinyl sideways in light.
I never had another brush to compare it to... but it does its job exceptionally well on a beginner's eyes!
Effective indeed, but its bristles are harder than average, thus increasing the likelihood of hairlines appearing. I would recommend looking at other brushes as well.
It does exactly what it promises, quality construction and packaging, at a good price. I noticed that after cleaning (basically dusting, because that's exactly what these brushes do), the noise decreased and there was no trace of dust on the needle at the end of the record. It also definitely helped with the static issue.
What I can't guarantee 100% is that this type of cleaner doesn't cause any damage to the record (so-called hairlines). This is because in order to remove the dust, we have to "drag" the brush towards the inside or outside of the record.
Even if this happens, however, I don't know if it affects playback. I also can't know if any potential hairlines are actually caused by the brush or if the paper sleeves of the records are responsible. I will have to check it with a new, flawless record. In the meantime, I'm trying to remove any dust with a velvet cloth or brush, just in case.
Bonus points for the needle cleaner. I would buy it again if I lost it or it got damaged.
Very nice, sturdy and user-friendly. There may be better options out there (I'm not an expert), but this one does a wonderful job at removing dust from vinyl. The pros: it comes in a convenient transparent box, so it doesn't get dusty, and it also includes a brush for the needle! Super!

It leaves hairs. If the tray weren't white, I wouldn't have noticed it.
