For the last 12 years, I have exclusively used Led Lenser flashlights. I started with the M14 400 lumens purchase at €110. Easy to open and close with a large button on the bottom and very functional from every aspect. It lasted 5 years of daily hard use, many drops, mud - dirt, water. Then I moved to the P7R 1000 lumens purchase at €70, which also lasted 5 years under the same working conditions. Along with these two, I also had a small cheap P3. After being satisfied mainly with the P7R, I decided to go for the premium P7R signature for even better performance since my job really requires good lighting in absolute darkness and bad conditions. From the first moment I held the flashlight in my hands, I can say that I was disappointed. Nevertheless, I decided to delay my review and after serious use, I would share my impressions later. The truth is that my impressions after 8 months of daily use are completely negative, and it was a mistake not to return the flashlight right away. Let me start with the very small button on the side to turn the flashlight on and off. In low light, it is really very difficult to find, and it wastes your time when you need it to turn on. It requires quite a bit of searching. A little higher up, there is a small switch that changes the flashlight's functions. Many times, where it is positioned, you accidentally switch the mode without wanting to. Thirdly, it does not have good focus. The beam of light, when you zoom in, remains large, resulting in losing distance and not having all the flashlight's energy available at the point you want to see. Fourth, it does not give you the feeling that you have better and stronger lighting than the simple and much cheaper P7R. I think the difference is negligible even if they have a 1000 lumens difference. Most importantly, as you will see in the photos I uploaded, the flashlight reaches crazy temperatures. In warm climates, it becomes unbearable when you use it and very uncomfortable since it burns your hand. As you will see in the photo with a professional thermometer, its temperature reaches 42 degrees Celsius with very moderate use. The entire body heats up in a very short time. The charger is magnetic, but its plug is a terrible, pathetic connection that comes off very easily and does not stick strongly at all. In summary, buy the cheaper and much better / functional P7R. Finally, the positive is that it has a solid aluminum construction. I also believe that its durability will be equally good over time. Purchase price €150
