I opened and installed the board in place of the old one because the charging wasn't working properly. The installation was fine (I noticed slight differences), but it doesn't really matter. In the end, it charges, but it seems like the length of the port is smaller and it doesn't fit well with any USB-C cable, resulting in poor contact or the cable coming out on its own. Maybe it just happened to me, but if your phone doesn't charge due to a damaged port or wear and tear, it's worth buying.
