The Chessboard is a strategic game dating back to the 5th century AD in India, which is over 1500 years ago. A wealth of evidence has been collected regarding its existence, such as archaeological discoveries and ancient texts. It reached Europe about 1000 years ago, and approximately 800 years ago in Poland. Today, chess is known worldwide. Each classic chess game is played between two players on a chessboard divided into 64 squares (light and dark), permanently referred to as white and black. The objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king.
Checkers are played by placing the pieces on the outer rows, on the dark squares, while the central rows remain empty. The goal is to capture all the opponent's pieces or block them. Pieces move diagonally on free squares. You can capture an opponent's piece by jumping over their adjacent piece. When a piece reaches the last row, it becomes a King.
Backgammon is a game where players try to bring all their pieces into their home area and then remove them from the board. The player who achieves this first wins. The numbers rolled on the dice indicate how many squares a piece can move. Players move their pieces always in the direction of their home area.
