I wear them on armed operations outside Greece in deserts, mountains, rocky paths, mud, climbing with equipment. Quite a hard sole to withstand, non-slip, not fully waterproof only by 30% but fully ventilated if the foot gets wet or sweaty and dries quite quickly. I recommend wearing them with a silicone insole if you are standing for many hours like me, maybe if you put insoles it might bother your toes. On rocky ground, it does not provide support like an ankle boot, but it fits well and the foot is not loose even though it does not have laces, they tighten well in a strange way. It has quick removal if the foot gets caught somewhere or if you remove them for storage to swim. Be careful, like all glued shoes, avoid seawater, in the sun with high temperatures the glue does not come off. Loop at the back to hang them on the backpack to dry. They clean easily from mud and oils since the plastic part of the shoe is heavy-duty and accepts strong chemicals for cleaning. It is not a safety shoe and stay away from sharp surfaces, such as metals and sharp rocks. With a heavy weight, the shoe does not distort. Ideal for moving quickly and quietly on hard ground without making noise, the commandos know. Always wear them with thick cotton socks like all tactical shoes, also has a fair cost. The comment is purely from personal use.

After a lot of use, I would say to get a size up because with thick cotton socks they hit.
