Author's biography Clive Barker was born in Liverpool in 1952. He is considered one of the top novelists of horror and fantasy. In 1985, he was awarded the World Fantasy Award. Beyond his writing work, he is also an illustrator, director, and producer of theater and film. He has directed the films ''Nightbreed'', ''Lord of Illusions'', the series ''Candyman'', and the ''Hellraiser'' trilogy. His paintings are regularly exhibited in Los Angeles and New York. His most recent works include the Oscar-winning ''Gods and Monsters'' and an exhibition of erotic paintings and photographs titled: The Weird and the Wicked. The author lives in Los Angeles.
