I don't know why it says that the apron is waterproof, how exactly do they define waterproof? If liquid falls on it, it goes through from the inside, so if you eat something with a lot of juice, it gets wet from the inside. We use it for drier foods so it's relatively okay. If, however, let's say, you eat an orange and it squirts, you'll catch it from the inside and it will be just as wet inside as it is outside. And you can't call it cheap.
