The Greek Revolution of 1821 played a decisive role in shaping the Greek state. However, how much do we know about the lives of the people who supported the struggle or played a significant role in it?

In the book The Faces of the 1821 Revolution, fifty people, more or less known, narrate their stories in the first person, giving a human touch to the events of the era. All of them—fighters, supporters, philhellenes, opponents, men, and women—stood out and connected their lives and names with one of the most critical events in modern Greek history and contributed to the creation of the Greece we know and live in today.
