In the beginning, everything was fine, but after a week, the lever that raises the leg that supports the fabric broke. After several attempts to work with it despite this problem, it stopped functioning.
Update...
I returned the sewing machine easily and another one arrived very quickly. The new one is different in appearance and of higher quality! Even the instructions are on good quality paper!
I tried it and it works!
It arrived with the large button that pushes the needle by hand broken. I realized something was wrong because it was turning "dead" without functioning. It came out easily and I found that it was broken inside. I glued it.
Then I tried to connect the plug of the transformer to the socket of the sewing machine and the socket (the female plug) disappeared inside the sewing machine. I carefully unscrewed the sewing machine in order to place the plug back. As I unscrewed, the plastic bases for the screws broke, to be precise, they shattered! Inside the machine, I found a plastic piece that sounded like it was moving but I didn't know what it was. 2-3 more components internally were broken. And because I thought of operating with batteries... the battery compartment was missing the connectors that electrically connect the batteries! Not very important but the transformer cable is 40 centimeters so it needs a balance on the spot where it will be placed.
I haven't sewn anything yet.... let's see if I will succeed or if it will completely fall apart....
The machine is great. It's worth its money. Very good for learning. Before you start working with it, you should - as a preparation - watch some videos on YouTube (see for example user ann10's comment) about its operation and the resolution of technical problems that may arise (as with sewing machines of all classes). It's the first time I'm using a sewing machine and I managed to sew 4 layers of denim fabric (!) with its size 14 needle on the first try. The two main secrets are: a) to make the first stitch manually and b) to achieve the correct tension of the thread by doing tests before the final sewing. Those who criticize it simply didn't dedicate time to deal with the machine. In case of damage, there are dozens of videos (mainly from Asian countries) for easy repair. I bought the product through Skroutz. Very poor quality and selection. The first one arrived defective. They replaced it immediately but this one is also defective. Nothing works.
I struggled to sew a couple of times, the pedal didn't work on its own and I had to manually turn the needle, and it broke.
It is perfect for its price! I use it quite often and despite the rough handling, the stitches are comparable to a much more expensive sewing machine!
