I have the Delonghi Vertuo Deluxe version, my goodness! In the first week it broke down, leaking water immediately. It was replaced with a second machine, which in a month started leaking water from the sides and had to be serviced. After that, it started licking the machine while making coffee and the coffee spilled outside. Now it doesn't work at all, so it's going back for service again. I have to explain that Krups machines are much better, as we have been using the mini for years without any issues. The one I have at home has already been sent for service three times a year. From me, it gets one star and that's being generous.

First of all, let's clarify something: no matter which machine you buy, you should know that the patent belongs to Nespresso, the manufacturers simply have a license to produce and exploit it, so essentially they rent the patent and make the machines on behalf of Nespresso. The machines are of the same quality because they are made based on Nespresso's standards, if there are any differences, they might be in the assembly. My machine is made in Austria and I bought it from a large chain for about 95 euros, I have had it for 2 years and it has not had any problems. That's about the practical stuff. Now, because I am meticulous and I try to research and take care of things as best as I can, I will try to give some advice.
1. Yes, the machine makes coffee by itself, but it cannot take care of itself. My advice, after a lot of research, is to put it on the cleaning function every 100 capsules, not just once but 3 - 4 times in a row if necessary, until it stops producing pieces and the water comes out as clean as possible. Also, take a soft cloth and a soft brush and as soon as each cleaning is done, wipe the head and any part that coffee passes through, all these will collect dirt and residue and return it back to the machine. If the machine is not clean, it will get clogged, make more noise, and whatever else may happen afterwards.
2. The manufacturer says to descale it every six months only with the company's specific liquid. Well, this should be strictly followed.
3. Do not use water with high hardness. These machines are very sensitive to salts, water below 150mg is fine.
4. Lastly, these machines are connected to the network, it is good to occasionally check their connection because there may be an update that could be related to a new coffee or a fix in some of their functions. Also, if you notice that your machine is acting weird, getting stuck, etc., you can do a factory reset and in 90% of cases, it will work. Whether good or bad, it is not just a simple machine, it is a smart coffee maker with all that entails with its pros and cons, and I am sure that many people did not know what they were buying when they bought it. The Vertuo machines are not related to the original ones, so many times it is not the product's fault but the ignorance of the buyer. That's all I had to say, I hope I helped at least a little.

Compared to Krupps (for the vertuo series), it is less noisy. It has a smoother centrifugation (no vibrations) and its pump does not "whine" like Krupps. The coffee comes out with a nice crema.
Regarding reliability: It was installed new in early January 2024.
29/02/2024: It broke down. Its mechanical and hydraulic parts work fine. Its electronics failed.
It managed to make about 100 coffees before breaking down.
From the 4 stars I initially gave it, it dropped to 1 star (and that's too much for it). A product must not only be beautiful. It must ALSO work.
Unacceptable machine and unacceptable service. Okay, yes, it makes good coffee, but only when it works. I have had the machine since May 2021 and its first repair was in September of the same year. I give one star only because I have to choose. I will explain why one star. We bought this Nespresso machine over a year ago. We have made very few coffees, I can tell you 180 coffees. First of all, it randomly leaks water. We came home and the power strip next to it was full of water. (I have taken photos and there is a considerable amount of water under the machine). Imagine being away from home for hours... all the water will be gone. Secondly, when you try to clean it according to the Nespresso machine instructions, you don't get anywhere. After 1.5 hours, we accidentally pressed a button (that we shouldn't have) and it ended up doing a descaling cleaning of the coffee machine, after we had already placed the special bags with the special solution. Thirdly, the machine randomly gets blocked. You wake up in the morning to make a nice hot coffee and the machine gets blocked and it's as if it's not working. Even though the cup button is lit, indicating that it's ready to make coffee, you press it and it remains waiting as if you didn't press anything. In the end, we ordered coffee from a nearby café with delivery. Fourthly, the coffee application on the phone does not synchronize with the coffee machine. So it's just for show that you control it with your phone and blah blah... (warranty? Ha ha ha, it has been over a year and the warranty is only for the first year, so I will let my cousins with the screwdrivers play since it's the holiday season, it will go in the trash of course!!)

The biggest piece of garbage this company has produced!!! I bought it in 06/2022 for 95 euros with the aeroccino as a gift. After about a month, it stopped working and they replaced it for me the next day with the same one. Since then, we haven't had any problems.

I bought it in January 22 and in March it stopped working. Initially, it started to function on its own!! I have had it for 7 months (since July 2021 - as a gift) and overall I am satisfied. I don't have an opinion on the 150ml capsules and above, I only drink 40ml or 80ml espresso. I use it with 2-3 capsules per day, so it's not much usage.
Pros:
- It makes a very nice crema (in a classic espresso size at least) no matter which capsule I have tried.
- It connects via Bluetooth to my phone and shows me indications or if there is any problem (with the Nespresso app).
- If you drink the ideal quantity of 80ml for a cappuccino, one corresponding capsule is enough. You don't need 2 capsules like I did with previous coffee machines (and many people I know).
- The water tank is large and doesn't need to be refilled every 2-3 coffees (like I was used to with a smaller coffee machine).
- The cleaning is done with just one button (you press it quickly 3 times within 2 seconds) and you wipe the water.
Cons:
- Sometimes it complains (orange indication) about the capsule I have inserted, that it doesn't recognize it. I slightly open the lid and close it again. Half of the time, this solves the issue and it brews the coffee. Otherwise, I wait for 3 minutes without power and then it recognizes the capsule normally. The first time this happened to me, I threw away 3 capsules.
- There are only authentic capsules available and I don't know until when. If cheaper alternatives come out, it might be worth investing more in the machine. The authentic ones are expensive, but at least you save a bit from not always needing 2 capsules.
- Its size is a bit big. I was used to a smaller one (Essenza mini) and this one seems a bit bulky to me.
In the photos, I have compared it to an A4-sized page.
After reading all the previous comments, I definitely wouldn't have bought it if there was a serious possibility of encountering problems and going through service/return processes, even for free. So, I reiterate that I am generally satisfied because it hasn't presented any technical issues. If it does in the future, I will update.
Update 04/24: It has had to go to service 4 times because it wouldn't read ANY capsule, I lost dozens. Finally, a few days before the warranty expired, they replaced what needed to be replaced and now it works properly. Nespresso extended my warranty by 6 months because they had caused me enough trouble. After everything I went through - phone calls, video calls, frustration, lost capsules, buying coffee delivery because I didn't have a coffee machine - I would never recommend it. Maybe the first batch was completely faulty, because the replacement machines they gave me worked without any issues. In a give-and-take, they even lost the original box, so I just put it in a box to send it to service. It's a shame because it makes amazing crema.

Coming from the Lattissima Plus (beast), I bought the Vertuo Next around Easter because I think everyone buys it, which is none other than the larger quantity of coffee...
Since then, I have changed 4 machines and today I am going for the 5th as they all develop faults after a while...
The machine is of poor quality and has a particularly hasty design.
Features that do not match the older classic models of Nespresso (At least for 2 old models that I have operated which work perfectly)
Clearly, I deeply regret buying this machine and I even asked them to refund my purchase after the 5th machine change, but of course they refuse.
For anyone considering it, I would tell them to think again, not only because of the poor quality of the machine but mainly because of the particularly high cost of Vertuo capsules and their incompatibility, meaning that for now you are obliged to use Nespresso capsules, something that I did not pay attention to when buying the machine but over time I realized that with 2 people using the machine daily, we need about 50-70 euros/month just for the capsules.
With that money (even with monthly installments of the value of the capsules) I could have bought a very good espresso machine with a built-in grinder (and I might even have some left over...)

From my perspective, the result is negative and as other reviews state, it does not create the authentic crema that most of us desire in an espresso. I agree with a review that describes it as "watery bubble".
In my opinion, it is only recommended for those who wish to drink large quantities of coffee, and moreover, from autumn, a capsule for a 500ml result will be added to the company's series.
On the negative side, there is also the exclusivity of purchasing the company's capsules and the size of the machine, which is not convenient for any transportation.
