Graphics: Beautiful game with the upgrade for PS5. Amazing character and building designs, although there is some monotony. The graphics are very good, but there are definitely better games out there.
Gameplay: Its strong point, as it is an incredibly addictive 3rd person action shooter. Intense action with the protagonist's amazing abilities, reminiscent of The Matrix. Everything in the building can be destroyed and you never get tired of playing in general. There are many areas to explore in the building, but overall, it's not confusing. There are plenty of side quests. The Dual Sense functionality is good.
Story: A game by Remedy, it can be a bit confusing overall, requiring a lot of attention and reading. The direction and storyline are mind-blowing.
Overall: An incredible action game with upgraded graphics for the PS5, a true gem by Remedy.
Excellent game with beautiful graphics and great battles. The map is quite annoying. It's worth dedicating time to, especially considering the price below €30
It has the best level design I have ever seen in a video game. Incredible sound effects, a crazy battle system, and an interesting story. The protagonist is a bit flat, especially her voice, but it is forgiven due to the exceptional overall package. Obviously, it is aimed at people who are looking for quality and look beyond gameplay, in areas such as direction, music, screenplay, and spatial design. It is WORTH IT and you MUST try it.
I had the game in my library for a long time and I was hesitant because many people criticized it, except for one cousin of mine who had told me the best things about it. In the end, it has an addictive gameplay that becomes more enjoyable as you progress and unlock abilities, and an okay story, nothing extraordinary. The only negative thing is its map, which is confusing and it will take you hours to orient yourself.
Control is a game by Remedy, known for Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break.
You control Jesse Faden, an orphan girl who grew up in poverty, has telekinetic powers, and communicates with an unknown entity called Polaris. She finally manages to find the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, a secret public service responsible for covering and studying unexplained phenomena, believing they are responsible for her brother's abduction 17 years ago. However, upon entering the building, she discovers that it is under lockdown as a strange entity takes control of the people and threatens the world.
The whole thing has the vibe of Men in Black, X-files, and directed by Twin Peaks.
The gameplay is theoretically fantastic, as your abilities grow and you cause endless chaos. The game has a cover system, but it is weak, and you will prefer running and levitating to avoid bullets without crouching. The weapon can be upgraded and takes mods for each upgrade. Your abilities grow by spending skill points from main and side quests. The map expands with you in a metroidvania-like manner.
The graphics are impressive. Instead of creating a typically beautiful environment, they created a public building that you can destroy piece by piece and unleash destruction and paper wars. The characters could have used a bit more work, but they look satisfactory with their actors in the live-action segments.
This edition includes the two DLCs that were released, Foundation and AWE. The first takes place after the events of the game, and the second unlocks a Side Story that connects it to the world of Alan Wake.
I did not expect the game to be as good as it was.
As gameplay, it is impressive and the destructible environment is enjoyable.
Playing the game in quality mode with ray tracing on was flawless.
The story is mediocre and the characters are boring.
One of the best games I have played in recent years. If you are a fan of the X-Files, Twilight Zone, David Lynch, and science fiction in general, then this is the game for you. It's a third-person shooter with exceptional graphics, an amazing atmosphere (it's one thing for me to tell you, and another for you to see it), and a very interesting story. Fast gameplay in a world where almost everything can be used as a weapon... It has a lot of side quests, while the main story can be completed in 9-12 hours. The PS5 version has ray tracing (it truly looks beautiful) and an option for 60 fps. This version also includes both DLCs, which are really good. It's a title that you will truly regret missing out on. I finished it on PS4 (including the DLCs) and started playing it again on PS5, where I am left speechless.
