The pine honey from Sithon company has a rich texture with mild woody notes, and a light but prolonged spicy aftertaste. Its color is dark copper, while it has a mild forest aroma. Due to its low natural sugar content, it takes a long time to crystallize.
It is rich in minerals and trace elements, such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, etc. For its production, the bee collaborates with Marchalina Hellenica (a honeydew-producing insect that harmoniously coexists with the pine tree).

Ten years ago it was the best honey. It wouldn't fall off the spoon and I would take it back to back for its great taste. The last 2 years it's just a watery disgust. I mean, you can't even put it in a bowl without it spilling like water. Shame on you Sithonia, I thought you were a reputable professional and supported the Halkidiki cooperative. Get Attica honey, it's of superior quality.
It used to be one of the best honeys. Now it's like syrup, while at the same time it crystallizes in a short period of time, a phenomenon that is not easily observed in pine honey... The quality has dropped below average. I will keep it reluctantly for some melomakarono...
Unfortunately, I also confirm that the quality of Pine Honey has changed a lot. Certainly, each year's harvest is different, but now I believe that they adulterate it with Flower Honey, otherwise this watery, overly sweet thing that it has become cannot be explained. What a pity.
Unfortunately, they have changed its quality. It is watery, tasteless, very sweet, and light-colored. We knew Sithonia pine honey for its aroma, its nice taste, and its thick consistency. No resemblance to the purchase I made six months ago. What a shame.
Attention, the packaging of the 3-kilogram container has changed from transparent to white, possibly to hide the color change.
Although it is an amazing honey and I have bought it many times, in my last order, the honey was watery and not the thick characteristic of pine that it used to have. I might be mistaken...
The best Greek honey on the market, pure and natural honey with the Sithon guarantee. I have been buying it for years now and I was glad to find it on Skroutz as well, especially during the season.
The pine honey from Sithonia is my son's favorite. Its quality is exceptional, as well as its taste. Our 3kg package lasted a little over 1 and a half months. We used it in milk, on bread, and even ate it plain with a spoon on a daily basis. It helped our whole family a lot with cough and sore throat. It is more cost-effective compared to the 400g and 900g jars.
Very thin and tasteless. No comparison to the quality it used to have
