  Generally, it doesn't require pressure. However, you need to press the two metallic elements it has, one with the index finger and one with the thumb, to turn on the light.   This machine needs direct contact with the skin to open the light. It also needs pressure. The more pressure I apply, the more it opens for a while and then closes again. It doesn't work like that. It's better to buy an ionizer or a phototherapy mask instead of this gadget. It's convenient pocket-sized but it doesn't do what it promises.

  I have been using it for a month, with daily evening use for the serums that I apply every other day for the "intense cleansing" it promises. It doesn't make any difference at all.... The setting for cleansing requires cotton between the device and the face (it doesn't even work better for makeup removal). With the red setting, which supposedly enhances product absorption, I feel the temperature difference (the instructions state that it reaches 42C) but I don't believe that this alone, along with the vibrations it produces, is enough to achieve anything on the surface of the skin. Don't waste your money

  Amazing product!
  It does a very good cleaning and a very good massage on the face.

The other 2 functions are also excellent.
