The film has 3 smaller LEDs on each LED and can be cut per LED and not per three necessarily. The accompanying controller is somewhat unacceptable, as the film has capabilities for more color shades, but it limits it to 16 shades plus brightness. You can easily understand this if you put it in fade mode, which cycles through all the produced shades. The positive aspect is that it is USB powered, which means that it works satisfactorily with a simple 1-3A mobile charger or from a computer port. The only negative and annoying thing is the "waterproofing" membrane above the LEDs, which is sticky and even though it shouldn't stick, it sticks everywhere and detaches from its position. I had a hard time isolating it in order to properly place the film where I wanted it. As for the adhesive tape, I don't have much to say, as I placed the film vertically on soft material (hard foam with small pores) on a shelf surface, so it had more support than if I placed it upside down or vertically on a wall without support underneath. I would prefer a better controller if I had the opportunity, but without a power supply, unless strong lighting of the space is required.
Edit: The film came off after the next installation and I had to apply my own double-sided tape, which was stronger, cut into pieces of the same width, a tiring process. And the "waterproofing" membrane still sticks...
Edit 8-5-2022: After frustration, I took matters into my own hands and completely removed it in order to apply it more permanently because it kept coming off constantly. I used a silicone gun for the adhesive and applied it every 30-40 centimeters at a time on an MDF shelf so that the silicone wouldn't dry before application. I solved the problem with the sticky substance by applying a little Vaseline on my hands and spreading it along the entire length of the "waterproofing" membrane. Now I can say that I am relieved and doing what I wanted to do from the beginning correctly!!
Quite good the LED strip but it doesn't have very good adhesive for installation. But otherwise, very good and worth its money.
