I use it for PC gaming, with the included type-c cable, and I can say that I am completely satisfied. I come from the corresponding controller of the Xbox 360 and they have nothing to do with each other. More compact, smaller in size that fits perfectly in the hand, with very convenient analog sticks and grip, which helps you have control even if your hands are sweating. The buttons are highly sensitive and depending on the force you exert, the corresponding action has the corresponding effect on gameplay (I use it entirely to play Fifa). I have not noticed any latency in commands and it is recognized naturally directly by the PC.
So far I have changed 2 and I have changed both within a month.
In the first one, it didn't have a good connection with the cable, so the game saw it as disconnected.
In the second one, within the month, 2 buttons broke.
Overall, although it seems to be of better quality compared to OEM or other non-genuine controllers, it has the corresponding quality. Sorry, but it's not worth 50+ euros.
Excellent controller, however, after 2 years (and the warranty expired), it started to have a very annoying drift on the left analog stick, resulting in it needing to be replaced or repaired. When you have spent that much money (around €60 back then), you expect to get something that lasts. The next one will definitely be a much cheaper one - it may cost 1/3 and if it lasts 1 year, you still come out ahead.
Coming from the Logitech F710, and while I had changed the controller twice in 2 years because it either had repeated disconnections or the buttons wore out from use, now I'm experiencing the same issues again while the warranty has expired. After quite a bit of research, I ended up with this specific controller from Microsoft Xbox Series. It is far superior in quality and construction, even in connectivity. It has quite a few extras that Logitech does not offer. I needed a little time to get used to it, and it has been very convenient for me. So far, with considerable use, I have not experienced disconnections, and it connects easily and quickly.
The controller is amazing, I clearly got it for use with a gaming laptop, and I am completely satisfied with both its quality and functionality.
The only negative, and I don't know about other cases, was that it was a one-way street to proceed with the purchase of its corresponding rechargeable battery, as when I used standard batteries, it drained them immediately.
Extreme drifting on the left joystick after 1.5 years. The usage I give it, as a PC gamer, is about 4 hours per week to play FIFA. I store it in a drawer. I always play with clean hands.
Unacceptable quality.
I have a Logitech that has been playing better for 10 years.
For this money, go directly for Gamesir G7 SE for Xbox or Gamesir T4 Kaleid for PC. Hall effect sticks/triggers and you will never see drift or any issues again.
It is the same as the regular Xbox Series controller with the difference that instead of two AA batteries, it comes with a USB Type-C cable. Personally, I preferred this because it is Microsoft, which means that there are spare parts available if something goes wrong and the warranty does not cover it.
I operate it with Bluetooth and Windows games - flawless and speedy controller that I love the most because it takes AA batteries (I use rechargeable ones), so whenever I need it, it's readily available without worrying about whether it's charged or not!
Positives:
You can plug it in and play everything. The PC recognizes it immediately.
If you have Bluetooth with two batteries, you can make it wireless.
Good variable vibration.
Comfortable in the hand, you can play for a long time and it's lightweight if you have it with a cable.
Negatives:
I have broken two so far (the second one has drift after 1 year of use), so durability is not even there.
If you're going to spend 50 euros and it breaks, maybe we're making a mistake still buying Xbox accessories
Very good.
It seems good at first, but after 10-12 months with relatively little use, issues started to arise. The good thing is that you can play most games on a PC.
Well, I don't know why nobody talks about how it breaks within 2 months of normal use. This is the 4th one I've gotten in a year, and you'll always have drift on the analog sticks and one of the RB or LB buttons will always break. It's really the worst in terms of quality - bad plastic and construction overall. Check out the YouTube video about the problems I'm talking about if you don't believe me. Stay away from it and spend 20 euros more to get a Razer Wolverine - that's what I did and I was saved. I've never seen a 50 euro controller break so quickly and in the same spots - it's truly unbelievable. And again, I'm telling you to check out the problems I'm talking about on YouTube - it'll happen to you in 2-3 months
Slightly used and takes external batteries even though I think it doesn't use them with the cable, but it's not 10 euros when you spend it, you have expectations
Well, I will first mention the positives and then the negatives. First of all, the controller is a bit heavy but you get used to it, I bought it two years ago. (there is a special battery that is sold separately, when you put it in, you can charge the controller with the cable) One downside was that it didn't withstand many falls and the Movement joystick broke and moved on its own. Instead of sending it for warranty, I blamed myself. Anyway, now the price is a bit excessive, but you can find a better new one at the same price (attention, support for apple users is not yet available). That's it.
I had bought two of them 1 year and 3 months ago and they are still in very good condition. They have endured many falls, punches, and burns and have not suffered any damage. I highly recommend them!
It is good but I have a small problem with the grip, but it's okay. Also, it lasts for a long time in the city
4/5. Why did a trigger break down within 9 months? I'm not even a hardcore gamer who has worn it out. I didn't expect it. Also, since it has a 1-year warranty, it's good to find a big store to buy it from that also offers replacement. As for the plastic and comfort, I have no problem with it, it's very nice. You enjoy playing with it. I only use it with USB-C. It comes with a 2.75 meter cable. Not the best plastic quality though. Watch a presentation of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WafNdbWrk1Y
I use it for PC gaming, with the type-c cable and wireless via Bluetooth, and I can say that I am completely satisfied. I have not noticed any latency in the commands and it is recognized normally by the PC without any disconnections
At first, my son was very satisfied but unfortunately, in the 3 months that we have had this specific controller, it simply stopped working. I have applied for a replacement and I am waiting, so I do not have a complete opinion yet.
Unfortunately, they were unable to replace it and simply gave me a refund.
For console gamers who want to play games on their PC without a keyboard and mouse, this is just what you need... high-quality construction, comfortable, I don't know about wireless connection because I connected it with a cable and it was okay... I recommend it compared to other cheaper gamepads that don't do the job
The best thing for a computer, laptop, etc. Also, with a bluetooth transmitter, you can play wirelessly wherever you want without it being for Xbox. A very good investment!
The only downside to the product is that the port easily breaks, but you can still get this product=Microsoft XBOX ONE Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 (2018 Edition) PC.
It's amazing, with impeccable analog sticks and buttons. It's almost identical to its predecessor. The only issue I personally have is the connectivity with PC. For example, if the user is interested in wireless connection, they will have to use Bluetooth (if they have a receiver, obviously), and this way they won't be able to use the headphone jack, it won't be recognized by the XBOX accessories app (so it won't be possible to update the firmware, which is probably necessary because without the update, in my case, Bluetooth disconnected every 10 minutes), and in general, the PC will see it as a generic controller. To have all the capabilities, one will have to either connect it with a USB-C cable or purchase the Microsoft special adapter separately (~25 euros extra). In terms of quality, I don't think there's any room for complaints.
Lighter and smaller than the Xbox360 controller.
2. I exclusively play on PC. The firmware update was done through the Xbox Accessories app, everything went smoothly. The only issue I'm facing is that the connection is lost when it's in wireless (via Bluetooth) mode, from a distance of around 2.5-3 meters. Maybe it's because it's a different version of Bluetooth (the motherboard is the Asus Strix Maximus IX).
3. With the USB-C (I bought the version that includes it [one side USB-C and the other Type-A]), absolutely no issues! Everything is perfect! Lighter and smaller than the Xbox360 controller.
Note: The version that includes the cable does not include batteries.
I use it on my PC as it offers full compatibility with Windows 10. It's a reliable gamepad that easily brings the console gaming experience to your computer. Its construction is durable, the battery lasts for a week, and it comes with a long cable so you can play comfortably while it charges.
I highly recommend it!
I also have the previous version, it's basically the same. I have changed many other brands, but if you want something compatible with games like GTA, Pro, Assassin's Creed, Cyberpunk, etc., then you should get this... It connects to the computer via Bluetooth and Windows 10 automatically detects it, and with the Xbox Accessories app, it updates the firmware.
Simply top-notch, without frills or scents, high-quality and particularly functional, sits perfectly in the hand and doesn't tire.
