Sika ThermoCoat®-5 HS Primer is a colored, water-based primer suitable for plasters in paste form, including the final finishing layer of the external thermal insulation system.

USES: Designed as part of the Sika ThermoCoat® external thermal insulation system (primer for Sika ThermoCoat®-5 HS/-5 HS Silic). Also suitable as a primer for plasters in paste form for internal and external applications. Suitable for application on concrete, mortars, plasterboards, cement boards, and plastered/painted surfaces.

• Composition: Acrylic dispersion
• Packaging: 5 kg and 25 kg containers
• Appearance / Color: Viscous liquid in a wide range of shades
• Shelf life: 12 months from the date of production
• Storage conditions: Store properly in the original, closed, sealed, and undamaged packaging, in dry and cool conditions, at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.

APPLICATION INFORMATION:

• Consumption: 0.15 - 0.25kg/m2, depending on the absorbency of the substrate
• Ambient temperature: +5 °C minimum / +35 °C maximum
• Substrate temperature: +5 °C minimum / +35 °C maximum
• Waiting time / overcoating: Touch dry after ~3-4 hours (23 °C / 50% R.H.). Overcoating after 12-24 hours, depending on the prevailing conditions.
