  We bought the Seahawk 3. It is a powerful machine. We don't have high demands. Small getaways and maybe some fishing in deeper waters. It handles 2 people just fine. With more people, okay, don't expect it to fly as well. In terms of consumption, it burned about half a liter in approximately one hour of use. The metal parts, the switches, and all the other components are of very good quality, which impressed me a lot, and the tilt can be adjusted. Good luck

  I was deceived by the good reviews, with a 3-meter inflatable boat barely reaching 10km/h, only from the size of the propeller if you search to replace it you will see that in these dimensions there are outboard motors 2-5 horsepower this is definitely not 5.8hp! 2.8hp much more likely.

  I tried it for the first time on 25/7/2022 with no prior experience in outboard engines on a boat, specifically the Intex Seahawk 4, which, for those who don't know, does not have a keel. The good thing was that the engine did not require any assembly, it was simply plug and play (out of the box).

  1. Yes, it makes noise, but that's the nature of two-stroke engines, so we can't consider that a negative point (at full throttle, you can communicate by shouting loudly). A comparable four-stroke engine is much heavier, especially for this type of boat, so this plays a role!

  2. It takes regular unleaded gasoline from the gas station, and the oil I used is not specifically designed for outboard engines but for tools like lawnmowers and chainsaws, as I was told in my market research that the engine is the same as a lawnmower's. I bought expensive oil, 1 liter, and not more, because it requires a very small amount, so 1 liter is more than enough.

  3. The speed it reaches, based on my expectations, is very satisfactory (we're talking about the sea here), and it turns in any desired direction with great ease. Because I've had a lot of experience rowing in this boat, with or without the engine, it's like day and night...

  4. For anyone who wants to mount it on an Intex engine mount, they should know that they will need to increase the thickness of the base because the Intex base is intended for their own electric motor, while this engine is designed to attach to a thicker base. So, by placing, for example, a piece of wood with a thickness of 2-3 cm in between (something that anyone might have at home), we can easily solve the problem.

  Quite good outboard for light boats. I have used it for 7-10 hours now without any problem. I always take an extra gasoline can with me. It is a two-stroke, so the sound is distinctive, but personally, I like the two-stroke engine.
