Ideal for use with IP cameras
Transfers power and data through a single Ethernet cable
Plug and Play: no installation or configuration required
This passive Power Over Ethernet injector + splitter adapter package is an ideal solution for providing, for example, an IP camera with power and data without adding extra cable. This kit contains 2 adapters that manage power and data transfer through a single network cable. This is very useful when you don't have a power outlet anywhere near the IP camera. The PoE injector cable combines power and data into the network cable, and the PoE splitter cable converts the signal back into separate power and data for your IP camera.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
This specific Poe Injector kit works perfectly with a TP-Link outdoor camera (Tapo C520WS). I use both the power supply via Poe and the data through the cable (the camera has wifi & ethernet) and everything works great. Everything runs through a UTP Pet 5E cable (outdoor) about 20 meters long and I had no issues other than needing a larger power supply than what the camera had in its box, something for which this specific adapter is of course not responsible. This happens due to voltage drop because of the distance of the cable (the camera requires 9V-0.75A and such a power supply is included but it wouldn't even turn on, so I used my own 12V power supply and it works perfectly) so if someone wants to connect a camera at a long distance from the power supply, they should keep this in mind.
It works perfectly with an Imilab EC6 DUAL outdoor camera, which does not have PoE capability according to specifications. You connect the adapter to both sockets of the camera, run the UTP, and terminate the power with the power supply (or UTP) on the other end. Since this particular camera also works with WIFI, I have only terminated the power and it works just fine. *Irrelevant, but the adapters that arrived were of a different brand, Cable Expert.
