Boredom
It reminded me of the bad times when we were obsessed with playing Lineage 2 to earn items.
However, it lacks the PvP aspect that essentially justifies the endless grind.
The only good thing is that it plays very well on the switch, although I believe it somewhat limits the capabilities of the hardware.
As someone who started playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the 3DS, I have to say that it is an excellent game and has made huge improvements in all gameplay aspects! Firstly, I want to emphasize that MH games are particularly challenging and are intended for people who have the patience and perseverance to engage in grinding. However, this does not mean that a casual player will not enjoy the experience that this franchise has to offer! It is an incredibly beautiful game, from the basics such as the controls to more complex things like the behavior of monsters and wildlife. One feature that surprised me, though, is the graphics and loading time. Say goodbye to the loading screens that plagued those who played on the 3DS, here you have a huge map that is not only loaded as soon as you start your quest, but also has a great interest for exploration, especially with the new mechanic that allows you to do crazy things. I absolutely love the music, as it is inspired by Japanese culture, and here it truly shows what a masterpiece game the Japanese, specifically Capcom, can create. I can't wait for the big update coming in the summer of 2022!!! I know it will be fantastic. Thank you for reading, I hope this helped you choose this MH game!
Monster Hunter Rise is an excellent game, having played World for over 500 hours, I can say that Rise offers something amazing and new on our portable console.
Graphics: I think they are fantastic and surpass many games out there, beautiful without causing any performance issues.
Gameplay: It is a bit different compared to World, with more combos that you can perform. It will take you 1-3 days to get used to it. The wirebug brings many new things to the game, such as new weapon combos and the ride system, where you can mount another monster to fight another one, making it simultaneously more impressive and interesting with this new mechanic. The multiplayer is also enjoyable, whether playing with friends or random players. There are plenty of quests to complete and a lot of grinding because you need armor and weapons to fight the monsters.
Sound: Nice and clear sound with pleasant music, especially during battles.
The game is truly a gem and runs smoothly without any issues. For veteran players, it is amazing, and for newcomers, be aware that it requires a lot of grinding and battles to learn, but it is an awesome game that you can get hooked on. It's great that we can play it on both the TV and on the go. I hope that the updates and DLC, if and when they are released, bring amazing things and continue to make the game even better.
Monster Hunter Rise is the first title in the series developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and it truly looks amazing whether on the TV or on the console's screen. The most significant achievement of the new title is that it has managed to welcome new players while also satisfying the series veterans. It offers material for many hours of gameplay, which are truly enjoyable, and the division of the game into missions helps with that. The missions can have a maximum duration of 50 minutes, but they can also last as short as 5 minutes, depending on how skilled the hunter is. The hunting season begins for Switch owners, and it would be good to remember to invite your friends for cooperative hunts, either locally or online. The online mode was tested for about 5 hours, as the company's servers were not available. The impressions were quite positive, and no problems or lags were observed, with the commands being executed instantly. The only certainty is that you will enjoy one of the beautiful modern RPGs.
I will say first of all that I have not played the other Monster Hunter games, so I will not bother comparing it to the previous titles. I jumped straight into the game as a tourist, except for the demo that I liked so much that I HAD to pre-order it. So far, I am almost halfway through the story because I like taking my time with it, but despite that, I love it and that says something because I hate RPG games. It's that good.
Lover of the series from monster hunter 3 on the Nintendo Wii.
The game is amazing!!!
Awesome graphics, perfect controls, and gameplay.
It was made with Capcom's new graphics engine, the RESIDENT EVIL ENGINE, which runs perfectly on the switch.
If some want to compare it to monster hunter world, I will tell them that the gameplay and controls are better and more direct in monster hunter rise.
The advantage of world is the internet connectivity. You could easily find a friend and invite them immediately, unlike rise where you have to create a room first.
Now, regarding the missions, in rise, there are many things to do. It has separate exploration missions as well as missions for your village. In world, all missions were common and open to online play. Some people like this, while others do not.
As for the graphics, on the switch, the graphics are better in terms of quality because it runs on a newer graphics engine. However, in world, they are denser due to higher RAM (THE COMPARISON IS MADE WITH PS4). In other words, in world, one will see more trees, birds, leaves, etc.
But in rise, the graphics are much cleaner and higher quality, such as colors, water, trees, and characters.
It has a wide range of crafting weapons, armor, and finally, I believe that the most beautiful monster I have encountered in the monster hunter series is in rise, and it is the MAGNAMALO, which is inspired by Japanese culture as it resembles a samurai demon!
