we have the entire house set up with Wiz spots, bulbs and LED strips. Since it's produced by Signify, which also produces the Philips HUE lights the quality is amazing and the app is actually better than the HUE app. The price is on the edge compared to normal lamps, but especially with the RGB lamps you get so much more ambience and control over the lights. Especially party mode is nice for the kids or birthdays at home.
Everything is good with color intensity and connectivity with the network BUT!
If you rely on Google Home, you will probably have a problem as the Google app sees the lamp as "Offline" every day, which means you cannot control it from there and you have to use the Wiz app. After a while, it may recover on its own or you may need to reset/rediscover the lamp on the network.
So, in summary: if you want to play with Google Home and tricks like "Hey Google, turn on <x> room light," look for another lamp. If you don't care about these things and are okay with using the Wiz application, then it is a good choice for the money.
It does not work properly on a 2.4/5GHz network in 2023. I reset it 4-5 times and it only worked on the first connection. After that, it wouldn't turn on even from the switch. If you don't only have a 2.4GHz network (presumably with no 24 connection left), get a different bulb!
Other than that, it has good brightness and colors, but the connectivity was terrible. Oh, it also created a network on its own with the name of my wifi (it simply said connected by wiz or something similar) in the list of my mobile networks!! And it didn't have a forget option, so I had to reset the wifi and Bluetooth of my phone (they go together) and because of that, I wasted another hour setting up my smartwatch again........
Overall, they should release a new one with 5GHz or at least make it work flawlessly with a corresponding network. Like the equivalent tapo, for example
Note, because it is not mentioned anywhere, the wiz bulbs have been upgraded and support matter, so they can also be added to Apple HomeKit (you need to use the 2nd version of the wiz app to display the relevant QR code)
The Wiz series is incredible. I threw away the Philips hue series and replaced it with WIZ. Excellent connectivity, with a top-notch app. Bright bulbs and very good colors. White color with adaptive adjustment depending on the time of day. (Cool - Warm). Connection also with apple home kit through homebridge. In HomeKit, even lighting scenes play. I play a lot with lighting and I have ranked the following bulbs in the following order (personal opinion) A: Wiz. B: Ledvance. C: Mi. D: Hue. I don't know about other brands since I haven't worked with them.
Super the bulbs! They were purchased for 25 euros (12.5 each). They connected immediately! Because I read a lot of strange things about difficulties in connection, etc. The majority of smart devices (bulbs, vacuums, etc.) require a 2.4Ghz network. The new routers that transmit on both 2.4 and 5 with the same name may confuse your device. You simply create (basically, you get Cosmote and explain the problem to them) 2 different Wi-Fi networks with a slight variation in the name and everything is fine!
Very good value for money lamp. It has many colors and can be connected to multiple phones simultaneously. The voice commands work and are very impressive. My only complaint is that I would like it to be a little brighter at maximum setting
I am satisfied with the purchase. The application is very up-to-date and user-friendly. You need to follow the instructions to connect the bulb to WiFi. For three months now (and connected to two different phones), we haven't encountered any issues. We might buy more of the same
It constantly has problems with WIFI disconnections. You can only set it up for five minutes after the light turns on and then it loses connection from the wireless network.
We have been struggling with the company's customer support for three months and they are unacceptable, they keep saying the same things that are written in the manual... stay away!!
