It easily breaks the walnuts! It has various similar models, generally breaking a large number of walnuts before any damage occurs. I have had the handle break in the past (but again, you can still crack walnuts by manually opening and closing it since it doesn't have a handle), and once the entire socket broke, shattering like a walnut. However, I emphasize that it had cracked 4 digits of walnuts!
