  I would give it 4-5 stars for as long as it worked, but my experience with it lasted less than 24 hours. The same night I bought it, it stopped working, as it now only turns on a yellow light that turns blue after a few seconds but does nothing else. It no longer connects to the internet, doesn't connect to my phone, doesn't connect to Xiaomi thermometers, and can't be reset even with a 10-second long press or 10 taps that theoretically only reset the WiFi. It practically does nothing, it's either for return or throwing away. I will get another BLE gateway, but definitely not Xiaomi.

  Let's take some time to evaluate this industrialized plastic and material waste.

  First of all, as a construction, it seems like it will break as soon as you think about it, but of course it wasn't purchased to be sturdy.

  The connection with the application is the classic back and forth in the settings so that it can be viewed through the cleverly named wireless network it creates, and it succeeds.

  It was purchased because it is advertised as compatible with HomeKit, which for some inexplicable reason it fails to do.

  HomeKit either requires the device to be restarted to connect, which again doesn't happen.

  A reset of the HomePod mini was done to enter the 2.4 network, but still no luck.

  When using it to control lamps through the button, you have to go through the automation, save it, send a carrier pigeon to China, have it reach the worker during working hours, luckily it's China and everyone works 24/7, and then execute the routine. Otherwise, no problem.

  It receives one star simply because it can be used in the near future as a coaster for various family - and non-family - dinners, celebrations, and events.

  If you have made the mistake, like me, and wasted your money and time on Chinese products, you deserve it. If you don't pay, you don't learn.

  Generally, through Xiaomi Home, automations either don't work often or are very slow due to Xiaomi servers, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Now I use it for Home Assistant as a Zigbee adapter through ZHA with AlexxIT's integration on GitHub, and it has also been tested as a zigbee2mqtt adapter with AlexxIT's integration. I have 13 connected zigbee devices, and it also controls supported Bluetooth devices, such as the Mi Temperature and Humidity Monitor 2. It is quite reliable, as long as the 2.4GHz channel on WiFi is not congested. I had tried the SONOFF CC2531 and it was terrible, with a small range of only 5-6 devices and frequent restarts.

  The hub connected instantly and very easily with the devices, and for now it is connected to 14 Bluetooth devices and works flawlessly. In some instances, I also noticed some disconnects, and after many tests (power supply strength, interference from the router, etc.), I found that if the bandwidth of the line is occupied by other services (downloading/streaming) and there is no available bandwidth, it can lead to disconnects because the hub cannot communicate with the Xiaomi cloud.

  Although it is mentioned as compatible with HomeKit, it is not clear anywhere which child devices it supports in Apple's home. The reality is that it only displays Zigbee devices in HomeKit and not Bluetooth devices. As a result, Bluetooth devices only work through the Xiaomi application. However, the response is immediate and without problems for Zigbee devices (Xiaomi door and window, motion sensors, wireless switch). I accidentally bought it and THANKFULLY, I mean, because I didn't like the other one (the big one with the light) at all. I have 28 devices on it... 10 bulbs, 5 switches, 8 door/window sensors, and 5 temperature sensors, and it doesn't understand ANYTHING. AMAZING!!! Simply perfect.

  Update: To help those who are not receiving notifications even though they have them active, I will tell you the following. Occasionally, their servers (from what I have understood) get stuck. While it doesn't send "alarm" notifications, it will send any other notification you want. So, simply create notifications like "when window open then Push notification" and activate them along with the alarm. It's a hassle if you have many sensors, but what can we do. Otherwise, we have to get a regular alarm. That's it.

  Very good the new hub of Xiaomi small and minimal.. In relation of course to the set and the previous model the hub has 2 differences that it does not have sound change and powerful sound!
