Aquaperla water crystals are free-flowing white granules that resemble sugar grains when dry. Upon adding water, they swell impressively and act like super-absorbent sponges, allowing us to better manage water usage for plant irrigation.
Aquaperla water storage crystals function like water storage tanks that can retain rainwater or irrigation water for extended periods (3-4 weeks).
Water release occurs gradually, providing appropriate amounts for the plants' needs. This way, we can reduce watering by 50% to 70%.
For approximately 10 medium-sized pots, we use 100 g of Aquaperla for irrigation.
Ideal for vacation periods, they last up to 25 days without watering.
Use it above the ground for temporary use. Dilute the crystals with water to turn them into gel. Place 2-3 tablespoons in a large bucket of water. After a short time, 10-30 minutes, the water will turn into gel. If the gel is too runny, add a few more crystals.
Water your plants well twice within two hours. Scatter the swollen crystals over the surface of the soil. Cover the surface of the soil with the gel with a bag if possible.
In this way, your plants can remain unwatered for up to 10 days (depending on water needs, e.g., heat). After these days, the gel will have turned back into powder. Then remove it from the surface of the soil.
We integrate the necessary amount into the soil. The goal of the crystals is to be close to the root system so that they store water when irrigated.
Before planting:
Mix the appropriate amount of crystals (10-15 g or 1-1.5 tablespoons per 10 liters of soil) into the soil where the plants will be transplanted. Then proceed with the usual planting and thorough watering. Water again after 1-2 hours.
For already planted plants:
Dig as deep as possible (20-25 cm) around the trunk of the plants or the roots and place the crystals (10 g or 1 heaping tablespoon per medium-sized pot or 200-300 g per square meter) and water abundantly.
Water again after 1-2 hours. By doubling the amount of crystals, we create a water reservoir for autonomy without watering the plants for more than 20 days during the summer vacation months.
Application on lawns:
Mix the crystals to a depth of 10-15 cm (50-100 g per 1 square meter) before sowing. For already established lawns, scatter 50-80 g per 1 square meter, after lightly aerating. Water abundantly and repeat a second time after 1-2 hours.
