Compared to the previous model, it is night and day. It is better in every way. With 3 upgraded microphones, it hears voice commands better, even from a distance. The two separate speakers do an excellent job with all genres of music, with control and good sound quality for the category standards. Definitely, by purchasing 2, they will cover large spaces and fulfill every need for good and powerful sound. In the end, I really liked the new Google Nest!
Good construction and sound, but they don't listen at all. I bought two and both have the same problem. I tried updating, adjusting the sensitivity, pairing/unpairing, repeating the voice training, nothing... they are almost deaf. A thousand times better the mini ones I had.
WARNING READ BEFORE YOU BUY ....The sound is very good, communication with the assistant is sometimes problematic, maybe my English is to blame... the worst part is that after 3-4 years I reset it and it got stuck restarting by itself and won't turn back on.. My son has it and it has very good sound quality with rich bass and mids. Good response to voice commands, satisfactory volume for a large room. I have it connected as a speaker with Apple Music and as a hub it operates some smart bulbs in Google Home. It also works as a Bluetooth speaker by connecting it to any audio source (smartphone, tablet, laptop, TV, etc.)
I am a supporter of Google products, so I decided to buy the speaker. Unfortunately, I regretted it.
As for the assistant, it's good, but it doesn't offer anything more than a Google Pixel or a phone with an assistant. It works well with English or other European languages. I liked that it has a physical switch to turn off the microphone. Of course, the capabilities through the assistant are numerous for those who learn to express them correctly in English.
It also has volume and play/pause buttons that are not visible, they are touch-sensitive. It's nice.
The sound is produced by two speakers, one tweeter and one woofer. It performs well only with certain electronic music genres. The highs and lows are not balanced, and the mids are missing, like a classic case of cheap 2.1 speakers. In any case, the sound couldn't be much better for €70.
Personally, I bought it to cast the sound from my phone, just like I cast the image on Chromecast.

YouTube doesn't play its sound through the speaker.
YouTube Music requires a €3.5 monthly subscription, otherwise it doesn't play.
Of course, you can stream the device's sound to the speaker, but it's not a Chromecast-like experience, meaning you have to keep your phone open and play YouTube. If you switch apps or close your phone, the sound stops.
Spotify and others work, but with so much advertising, it requires a subscription. Jukebooks doesn't support casting!
As for the Bluetooth capabilities, if I wanted that kind of connection, there are cheaper and better speakers available.
In the end, I ended up listening to radio and podcasts through TuneIn via casting, as well as mirroring songs I have in the memory of my devices through VLC player
The only thing that has bothered me is that when I ask it to play music, it tells me that it can't from here and to choose another device. Even though I ask it to play from another Google speaker that has the capability, it responds that it doesn't understand. Other than that, it works fine.

Owner of Alexa Echo dot, we bought the Nest a few days ago at an amazing price. I was incredibly frustrated with activating the nest through the google home app because it kept giving errors. After a lot of searching, I found that this was happening because the language on my phone (iPhone) was in Greek and I was setting it to English on the device. Tragic in my opinion, but okay, it was overcome and the connection was made properly. The connection with other smart devices, however, was easier and faster than with Alexa and with very good response. The biggest positive is the sound quality. Yes, it is an incredible speaker, very high quality and very powerful. It is also positive that reminders automatically sync with Google Calendar. Also, the assistant's response time is slower than Alexa and sometimes the way of speaking is more "robotic". I will come back after some time if there is anything worth mentioning.
I won't say anything else except for the following, because the speaker is perfect and worth its money. If you have an iPhone and it's in Greek, switch it to English (UK if I remember correctly) and go through the connection process from the beginning. It blew my mind!
Excellent sound with very low cost. However, due to the delay, they are not suitable for use with video (unless the TV allows manual adjustment above 500ms - the automatic "A/V Sync" of Sony Bravia, for example, is not sufficient).

There is not enough support from Google, even though they know that Nest devices are dying right and left after an update (you can find this out with a simple Google search). Also, there is no physical button on the device for factory reset, like in 99.9% of devices of this kind and not only. You are forced to do an electronic reset, which is obviously a waste of time and energy.

Very good and beautiful construction, very good response to commands/questions and amazing sound with bass and strong volume without trembling. It has trouble connecting with Samsung smart TVs and sometimes doesn't recognize that it's turned on, which is something I had read before purchasing so I wasn't particularly disappointed. It has immediate and stable response with other devices and lights. For controlling smart devices/reminders/questions/conversions/morning-night routines and especially music, it's incredible!
Edit: After many attempts with the Samsung TV, I discovered that it fully responds to very specific phrases. For example, to open/close it doesn't accept "Hey Google, open/close the TV" but rather "Hey Google, TV on/off". Similarly, for adjusting the volume, I have to say "Hey Google, TV volume to 5" where half the time it hears 25 and you panic to find the remote control, so I stick to On/Off and Mute!
