Their construction regarding the fastening on the wheels is poor, resulting in them coming undone. This fact makes them useless.
To be more specific: I installed them meticulously on a Peugeot 107 according to the instructions, as soon as I received them. The fastening was easy, without the straps being loose. The easy fastening did not concern me (it probably should have). The next day, I went on a trip and drove a total of 300 kilometers without any problems. The day after, in the first few kilometers, I noticed that one of the front straps had come off and was lost...
I contacted the eshop to purchase the one strap that I lost.
They replied that it is not sold separately, only in a set of four.
Furthermore, they informed me that if they are found on a sidewalk or if the vehicle falls into a road hazard, they may come undone. They also placed the blame on me due to possible incorrect installation. Only if they had installed them themselves would they consider solving the problem. I note that none of these things (road hazards, sidewalks, store installation) are mentioned on the product page. On the contrary, it states: "they do not break and do not easily come off their position in case of vibrations or driving on rough roads".
This excuse of road hazards is obviously unfounded, as with this logic, there would be no straps on vehicles at all! Additionally, I have had the previous straps (the factory ones) for 12 years without any problems and without ever coming undone.
Anyway, my options were either to pay an additional 37 euros to get the same ones and have a spare, or to buy new original ones, or to put the old ones back on! Obviously, I chose to put the old ones back on and we'll see... I don't have any new straps, though.
In conclusion: Lifespan of 300 kilometers or 2 days. Wasted money and confusion. I still regret the 37 euros I spent. I would have bought the original ones a thousand times. I hope I can help and prevent others from making the same mistake.
