The edition introduces the reader to lightweight constructions, highlighting the possibilities they offer in architectural innovation and morphological flexibility.

The content is divided into five parts, each of which concerns:
- the structure, function, and characteristics of a lightweight construction, as well as the correlation between the structural elements of nature and architecture
- the concept of the ephemerality of lightweight constructions, as well as applications and materials aimed at showcasing the flexibility they offer
- the basic principles, properties, and types of portable architecture
- the contribution of digital media and new processes of architectural design and construction through Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Engineering, Computer Aided Manufacturing, CAD-CAE-CAM
- the presentation of the interdisciplinary architectural workshop "Nature and Spatial Constructions" of the Department of Architecture at AUTH, where all the ideas and concepts concerning lightweight constructions are applied to highlight the importance of empirical practice during the university educational process.

This edition is addressed to both students and professional architects to serve as a functional tool during the architectural design process.
