The sound is quite clear, of good quality. I don't have much knowledge about sound reproduction, but I have tried various headphones.
The 7.1 mode indeed has decent sound, more satisfying than the standard mode, and through Corsair iCue, you can adjust the sound quite well. Besides that, it lasts several hours without charging after the initial full charge. However, what will impress you is the sound they produce in combination with Dolby Atmos Spatial sound. It's simply worth finding and purchasing Dolby Atmos for the headphones. Wonderful spatial sound experience. And you can try the one week trial without a card.
Also, the microphone is crystal clear. I had seen reviews comparing it to others and even the more expensive SE. It is superior in quality. Specifically, anyone I spoke to, whether through the 3.5mm connection to a mobile or PC, wireless with the USB stick, or with the type c to USB 3.0, the sound they hear is crystal clear. Obviously, it transfers better directly with the cable. Those who heard me using all the aforementioned methods were impressed, including in my own recording.
If it had Bluetooth as an extra feature, mainly for mobiles, it would be wonderful. Only the XT model has it, accompanied by pre-installed Dolby Atmos, but it costs an additional 50. For me, it was over 70 euros more since I found them for only 145 euros.
Aesthetically, it is very beautiful, minimal, and satisfying to see and wear. The LED colors are also very nice.
Compared to the more expensive SE, it simply has a case, which is useless for me, and a slightly thicker microphone that, although it should be, is not better than this one.

Although the sound quality is OK, after 6 months of use, the wireless stopped working. I did every update normally, both fresh and regular, and still nothing. I have been communicating with Corsair support for 2 months now, hoping to find a solution. So far, they have sent me the wrong software and dongles for 3 other headsets, and the only solution seems to be sending them back with the receipt for replacement. Their price is not worth what they offer, and the problems they have (with a little googling, you will see how super common they are for many users) are just annoying.

I paid 190 euros for the pillow to break in 1 year of careful use due to a previous case with Corsair. It probably got punctured by my short hair because I got a haircut, I can't find any other reason. Very delicate, they lasted less than the Void.
Also, with the USB cable, it has worse sound due to coil whine. I don't know if it does it to others though.

A first look.
Purchased on 9/2/2024 at a price of €169.85. I should note that I chose this specific brand and model to match the keyboard and mouse of the same company.
When you hold the headphones in your hands, you can tell they are of good quality. The package includes a type-c/USB-A connection cable, a cable with a plug on both ends, a USB-A wireless connection, the detachable microphone, and of course, the necessary manuals.
When it comes to connectivity, Windows 11 immediately recognized them, whether through wireless or wired connection.
The initial impression upon connection was very disappointing to the point of considering returning them. However, after accessing the iCUE software (which is essential, otherwise you can't do much), performing all the updates (and after software and system restarts), things improved somewhat. Especially when you adjust the equalizer to your liking. Through iCUE, you can activate the 7.1 surround sound, the RGB lighting, and various other useful features.
I find the wireless range to be quite limited. The good thing is that it makes a sound when the connection is lost and automatically reconnects.
A positive aspect is that you can listen to them while they are charging with the charging cable.
A negative aspect is that the mouse sometimes lags or freezes when the headphones are wireless.
There is also a free Nvidia service called broadcast.
The headband on top becomes uncomfortable after a few hours, which is not good.
I still don't have an opinion on the microphone as I haven't had a chance to test it. However, it attaches with some difficulty, and if you frequently need to remove it, it can easily be damaged (I'm not a fan of detachable microphones).
With that being said, coming from the Razer Kraken V2 with its built-in sound card and 7.1 surround sound, I believe that the sound of these headphones is not as expected. When you turn up the volume on music, it becomes muddled. We're talking about a price difference of +€50 compared to the best current prices, and I expected much more. Also, I should note that the comparison I'm making with Razer is that I haven't downloaded any software for Razer and, of course, I haven't used an equalizer. For Razer, the software is optional, while for Corsair, it is mandatory, and I have yet to see the quality that will make a difference (at least in terms of music). This says something.
In terms of gaming, things are somewhat better, although I still don't have enough experience.
Perhaps giving it 4 stars was too much. I would have given it 3, but since it's the first day, I decided not to judge it too harshly until I learn more.12/2/2024
I reevaluated it and lowered my rating from 4 stars to 3. I tested it with the equalizer, but there was no significant improvement. The louder I turn up the music, the more muddled it becomes.
After using it for several hours, I noticed a few more things:
- When I use them while they are charging, the plug in the headphone constantly touches my shoulder.
- The headband on top becomes much more bothersome than the Razer after prolonged use.
- I still believe they are not suitable for music. They are decent for gaming on a computer.
- When music is playing (mp3, various genres), and there is a pause, I hear a hissing sound.

The reason someone should buy these headphones is the wireless function. They have a competitive price for wireless. The downside is that they work with a USB dongle. If this USB breaks, you automatically no longer have wireless headphones. For this reason, I would not prefer them. I would get headphones that also had Bluetooth as an option. After almost 2 years, this USB broke and the headphones are now only useful as wired. Wired, these headphones are worth 50-80 euros for me.
Otherwise, the construction is good. After 8 hours, you will feel a little pain in your head.

They are not for music. The sound and bass quality is average.

From a sound perspective, these are the worst headphones I've ever had. They are even worse than 20-dollar headphones. The bass is almost non-existent. After applying a bass boost in ICUE, it sounds like there is some bass in the background. The treble is like a piercing sound in your ears. So, forget about the bass, but we have plenty of treble! So much treble that it's unbearable.
The quality of the materials is very good, and the microphone is really good. That's it. After a few hours of use, they cause headaches that come from the point of contact with the head, as the padding is not soft at all and the headband doesn't have the right curve, resulting in a smaller point of contact with the head than it should be, and the weight is not distributed evenly.
I bought these headphones (which I am returning by canceling the contract) based on many positive reviews on YouTube and here. Finally, there was a reason why I haven't seen anyone wearing them anywhere else except in review videos!
They are probably expensive because of the materials, I imagine. If I were paid to wear them, I would find a way to make modifications/replacements to their speakers and fix the padding of the headband, as well as adjust the curve. Then, yes, I would use them!

They are the only headphones with a 96Khz sample rate (for USB use) and 7.1 true surround (wired or wireless for up to 20 hours of continuous operation with RGB off and 50% volume), not virtual like all the gaming headsets on the market, as they have 7 speakers and 1 woofer, as you will see from the Windows sound manager testing as soon as you connect them. I suppose they are not as comfortable for those with a large head and ears. However, as for me, with a normal head and close-fitting ears, I have absolutely no issues with this product, as the sound is the best I have heard in a gaming headset. Lastly, it has optimizations through Corsair's iCUE software, which truly has it all, including a Graphical Equalizer that allows you to adjust all the driver frequencies as much as you want (yes, even the bass, which can become excessively annoying if turned up to the maximum), and it comes with a 2-year gold warranty. The material is gunmetal and matte plastic glass on the sides, which makes them noticeably lighter than the SE edition. On one hand, they are heavier, but on the other hand, they are more durable than other gaming headsets. Oh, and the microphone of this version is smaller in size compared to the SE, but it is also clearer and better than the SE, which ends up being quite blurry in the end. Check out some YouTube reviews if you don't believe me, and as you will understand from the first contact, the noise cancellation is better than Razer's, as when you put them on, you can't hear anything from the outside.

I bought them for 140 euros when they first came out and a store honored them and put them on sale, as it was shown on the corsair website.
(+) Positive
- Battery lasts 14 hours with LED, around 18-19 hours without.
- The build quality was the first reason that made me consider them, and I was not disappointed. They are made of aluminum, except for the earcups. They sit on the neck and can rotate left and right.
- Easy switch from stereo to 7.1 through the corsair icue program, with some settings if you want to customize.
- Decent microphone.
- Comfortable, as long as you don't have very large ears and head.
- The bass is more suitable for music than games, in my opinion.(-) Negative
- Some minor issues with icue, but they were resolved with the second installation.
- The ear cushions could use a bit more depth for some people.

Purchased in January 2020.
As the owner of several different headphones, I believe that while these are the most expensive ones out of the bunch, they are worth their money.
Perhaps the most well-built headphones I have ever held in my hands, with aluminum construction on the earcups and a very premium feel. You can tell as soon as you touch them that they are a tool that won't easily break.
The battery life is very good, lasting up to 15 hours without a problem, and the cable is long enough (2m) so that it doesn't make it difficult to charge them while wearing them.
The microphone is amazing for wireless. All the wireless headphones I've had had a very bad microphone, as if you were speaking from a well. This one sounds very good, maybe even suitable for streaming.
I would prefer the earcups to be a bit deeper, so that the entire ear fits inside, and if it doesn't touch the drivers, which can be somewhat annoying after prolonged use. I'm not saying they are tiring, on the contrary, due to my work being on the computer, I wear them daily for 10-12 hours, and they don't cause me much pain or discomfort, but they could definitely be more comfortable.
The microphone is detachable, which you can do to wear them outside on the bus with your phone, since the microphone is not needed there.
You will need to download the iCUE from the Corsair website. And you may need to do a firmware update to detect it. I had this problem at the beginning. I have the stock settings on iCUE, but I would recommend turning off the RGB, as it drains the battery for no reason, and you can't even see it unlike the mouse or keyboard. There is also a notification bot that reports anything that happens (sound muted, charging battery, etc). I don't know if this is a software problem, but it's better to disable it by going to the settings, as it's just annoying after use.
I don't listen to a lot of music, and I don't hear a big difference between headphones in general, so I can't say if they are good or not in terms of music. They satisfy me. I didn't find any difference in sound between these, the Logitech G933, or the HyperX Cloud Flight. Although out of the three, these have by far the best microphone, the best software, and the best battery life. The only thing they lack is comfort, in which case Logitech is ahead in my opinion.
UPDATE (8/13/2020): The ear cushions are attached to the headphones with three plastic clips that lock with a 30-degree rotation. In my case, they broke. I don't know if it's my fault or if the plastic quality was not good, but the ear cushions started coming off very easily, and it became annoying. I contacted Corsair, and they sent me new ear cushions for free, without even needing to send them the headphones, photos of the problem, or even the serial number. As soon as I told them I had a problem, they asked for my address and details to start the shipment, without any proof that I am the owner of the headphones. Now they are like new. Everything else works perfectly.

I did not expect to be so satisfied. Most headsets I had until now had some flaw (we always talk about similar ones in terms of price or at least over 90 euros). Very good sound, personally the bass covers me, easy wireless operation and switch to wired and vice versa. Average microphone but normal for a headset, if you have a separate microphone it is useless, if not it covers you for all issues and also has sound return or otherwise sidetone. In use so far I have worked for 14 hours so I don't know if the 20-hour claim is true, but the Type-C cable is long and convenient for wired use. The program is pleasant with the only downside being the battery monitoring which is hidden in a tab.
For anyone considering it, yes it is an expensive headset but it is the best I have seen in wireless today, even though the Logitech ones I had tried were also good. If you have the budget, go for it, you won't regret your money.
*In the 3 years, the leather on the ear cushions has started to wear out, but within reasonable limits. I have not encountered any other issues with performance or battery
