The reason for purchase was to give it as a gift to a beginner fisherman with the purpose of getting a general "taste" in the fishing world for their first introduction to the world of fishing. Unfortunately, I skimmed through the book before giving it away and I was disappointed. It is a plethora of outdated information that seems to have been taken from a book from 1990. It also includes serious misspellings of names in the field. I definitely do not share the rating of previous reviewers who should have no connection to the sport. Very poor material of photos, definitions, and images. It's a shame because it is also expensive.
