  Epic! In every sense of the word! The father of science fiction. Some compare him to the Tolkien of sci-fi. Although written in '65, it feels so relevant and is a very enjoyable read.

  The way Herbert describes the desert scenes and the characters' sensations within it has changed the way I perceive aspects of my own experiences.

  One of the most beautiful books you can read. Representative and unique in its genre. The first book is enough to understand and feel the world of Dune. The rest is for those who want to delve deeper and haven't had enough with the first one.

  Update: I come back after watching the second movie that just came out in theaters. If you liked the movie, read the book to understand how UNACCEPTABLE the adaptation was on the big screen. The part of the book that the movie is based on is full of mystery, atmosphere, character development, and many differences from the film version.
