  Initially excited about the size, the responsiveness in the app, and especially for the real-time status indication (open/close) and battery. And this is where the good things end. Exactly one week ago, I set everything up together with the Sonoff Zigbee Pro hub at the cottage, in order to use them in a home alarm scenario with the ewelink app. Initially, I have them all together on a desk to check their behavior before placing them in their final position. Last night, suddenly, while the hub is normally online, all the sensors went offline!!! And unfortunately, after the fact, I read in various forums that this has happened to other users as well. This makes the entire Sonoff package completely unreliable, and if there isn't a firmware update that fixes the problem, it is the most useless purchase I have ever made!!!

  NOV24: I am upgrading my review from 1 to 3 stars, as with the updates of the bridge pro and the ewelink app, the whole set works just fine. I am removing 2 stars because out of the 6 sensors I bought, 2 went offline and I had to buy others as replacements.

  Excellent value for money, I have about 4 of them for approximately 2 weeks combined with the aeotec hub (SmartThings), even at a relatively short distance (~5 meters maximum distance with 1 wall in between) and so far they don't seem to have any issues, no disconnections or false alarms, and the battery seems to be fine - it hasn't dropped below 100%.

  Unfortunately, after almost 1 year of use, I am extremely disappointed with the product!! The battery that came with the sensor lasted for almost 3 months.. All good until this point. However, any battery of any brand that I subsequently installed did not work for more than 1 to 2 days, rendering the product essentially useless. I couldn't find online the cause of the problem and a possible solution... Complete disappointment!! I am changing my rating to 1 star, at best!!
