I wrote this book for you and for me. To remind you and to remember our shared ordeal, our common struggle. Because depression is both common and unique, insidious and transparent, vulnerable just like we are. It was a way to tell you: It will pass. To reassure you – and at the same time to reassure myself: our illness is curable.
Our worst day is exactly that, and nothing more: a day that passes and brings us closer to healing. No matter what depression whispers to us, there is always hope.
We are made for better days.
