We bought this specific iron based on our pediatrician's recommendation. She assured us that the baby would not have any constipation problems, however, like any iron supplement, it has made it a little difficult, but not to the point of suffering. Other than that, I don't know how effective it is because we haven't done any blood tests yet to see the difference.
